A serious question for all of you LSU baseball historians.

How many Baton Rouge Regionals have there been without any rain delay?

TIA

Rain had an impact on the Stoney Brook series.

I think we win that one without the rain

I don't remember one in 2014, 2015, or 2016. I think there was a minor 1 in 2017

Years ago, under the Huey Long administration, the LSU powers that be along with the Governor called in a VooDoo practitioner. What they wanted was that the chance of rain in Tiger Stadium would be never. But as we all know, that sort of magic comes with a cost. The cost was the chance of rain for baseball in postseason play would be always. Seemed like a good trade considering LSU's baseball program had only had 13 winning seasons at the time.

It rained during the UNC-Wilmington game a few years ago.

Tulane also has a long rain delay in that regional on a Saturday if I remember correctly

All I know was that, for a while there, I was tired of being both baseball fan and amateur meteorologist at this time every year.

It's not the rains so much as the lightning policy, which seems to be more sensitive than in prior decades.
