Just as the NFL Draft which was always held in NY has started to move around why should GA and AL get these games yearly?

When Nashville builds a new baseball field in 10 years that will be the spot.

Where else would you put the SECCG?

Atlanta is an easy flight from practically anywhere and has natural advantages over any other location in the SEC footprint.

Everything should be in Nashville. Move it out if Alabama

With the conference further expanding into Texas and Missouri, current championship locations make even less sense than they did previously. With that said, the SEC power brokers will never let you move them.

Eta: Met has a good point re: Atlanta. I withdraw my objection on that point.

They aren't moving either for the foreseeable future. The league office is dug in on this issue.

Nashville (new stadium), New Orleans, Atlanta, Jerry World, repeat.

Design for the Titans new indoor stadium starts next year. Maybe eventually it’ll get moved to Nashville. Would be wise to keep it indoors in December. Plenty to do there, it’s a centralized location, and nicer city than ATL or Nola.

Man could you imagine going to Nashville for a week during the SEC baseball tourney? That would be a blast

I could be wrong, but a quick eyeballing says that Nashville has direct flights to/from a significant minority of SEC college towns. That’s an issue.

And LSU should not be able to play in playoffs in Superdome

There's probably a better chance for baseball to move at some point but I don't see that as very likely. Sankey has been quoted saying they won't give up Atlanta for the championship site because of ease for travel for the fans and hotel accomodations in downtown. Some believe they want to keep Atlanta away from the ACC because they would probably move their title game there from Charlotte.

Every year we get these threads at this time of the year. 5-6 years ago they were about to start rotating locations or move to another location. But then everyone got all pissed off and said the SEC tournament should remain at the Met because of “tradition”. Y’all asked for it and this is what we get.

New Orleans doesn’t have a suitable or decent baseball facility to handle the SEC tournament.

Don’t think they have the hotel accommodations. Leave college baseball alone, Hoover is just fine. No one wants to play these conference championships in empty MLB stadiums.

Put it in Nashville. Much better place for it.

Both need to be outside, particularly baseball. No more dome stadiums.

I love going to Hoover for the baseball tourney. I’m cool with it staying there. However, I wouldn’t be mad if the football venue rotated across those options mention above.

You sound like Big 10 fans. We don't need the SEC championship, and potential college football playoff berths, heavily influenced by weather.
