Hey, Ronnie Rantz...

During the game last night against Nichols State, a freshman was sent to the plate as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the ninth inning. Ronnie Rantz stated that the kid was from St. Amant High School, a Gator, from Gonzales, Louisiana. He then referred again to St. Amant as "St. Amant in Gonzales, Louisiana".
Someone needs to tell Ronnie Rantz that St. Amant is not in Gonzales, Louisiana!
St. Amant is an unincorporated community located in Ascension Parish. St. Amant High School is in St. Amant, Ronnie.

I heard him say “St. Amant High School, from Gonzales”, which can technically be true. I graduated from STA and my home address was Gonzales.

I had some time to kill in my truck Saturday morning so I listened to Ronnie's show on 104.5.
Apparently, one of his talking points he had been prepared to harp on was just how amazing Vanderbilt was. He kept saying they were under the radar. (I don't know how a team can be under the radar and ranked consistently in the top 4, But anyway.)
He said they just beat Tennessee on Friday night and were probably going to win the series and had an amazing pitching staff etc. Apparently he does not have an assistant because he kept saying this several times over the next couple hours and no one corrected him about the Friday night score. But hey at least he stuck to his talking points.
