Did I miss the NCAA announcement that there will be NO show cause penalty for Will Wade?

Especially with the rumors he's bound for both Ole Miss and now McNeese State.
Where's the Link folks to that NCAA announcement or their letter?

Woodward and our university are gonna look like such fricking clown if Wade skates by with no punishment

Someone made a post here saying it was happening. Someone on social media read the thread, then made social media posts saying it was happening. So, of course, it must be true.

They’ve been investigating for over 4 years now. If they had anything, punishment would have been levied.
The University of Miami (Fl) women’s basketball team has already been sanctioned for illegal NIL tactics. That’s only been a thing for a little more than a year now. The NCAA had evidence, and they acted.

It’s been 4 years, nothings gonna happen.
LSU made a massive error in handling Wade and we look like absolute idiots.

Since the NCAA couldn't nail UNC on the heels of blowing the abortion payments and strippers at Miami, everyone should realize that unless they turn a disgruntled player or FOIA turns up records, they can't do anything.
The Power 5 is already trying to jettison the NCAA. Even if they could do something, they won't. The NCAA is trying to hold on to what it has for as long as it can before the Power 5 pulls the trigger on getting rid of a money suck with semi-penalty power in favor of self-governance.

Whatever NCAA does with Wade, LSU had to protect itself once the NOA was released
Similar to Tenn and Pruitt, they had to cut ties and they did it before they received NOA
If sanctions are light to not penalize current coach, team and players than that's what LSU had to give up otherwise no telling what the IARP would have done
The real test case is still Self and what happens to Kansas who also had football issues involved and they continue to push against the NCAA - they received their NOA all the way back in 2019 and still no resolution except for Self suspending himself for a few games

Not really that similar. Tennessee was actually happy to have an excuse to fire Pruitt for cause. Will Wade was more successful than Jeremy Pruitt ever dreamed of being as a head coach. Tennessee isn't the NOA blueprint, they are the fire for cause via NCAA violation bail out blueprint.

………..well really LSU football and Kansas football are apples and orangutans comparatively. Even Kansas basketball is no comparison to LSU football in terms of money.

Kansas basketball is on the same level as LSU football in this sense
And Self was also caught on a wiretap
I think Kansas vs LSU is very comparable with the IARP being involved as well
Self already won a title and LSU never allowed Wade to coach a NCAA tourney game

If LSU gets a significant penalty after firing Wade, and Kansas doesn't after giving Self the lifetime contract, I will lead the legions in our melt.
Predictions in decreasing likelihood of happening:
1. LSU and Kansas get wrist slaps not unlike what has happened in the Memphis, NC State, and Louisville cases.
2. LSU gets a big penalty and Kansas doesn't because that's how the NCAA rolls.
Next 45 spots vacated to illustrate the unlikelihood of this result.
48. LSU and Kansas both get hammered (non-0 chance of happening, but barely)

LSU didn’t have to do anything. Numerous instances have shown recently just give the NCAA the middle finger. Ole cheese fry woody folded.

No, that is not "allowed now" like some posters here want to believe. It's basically the worst violation a coach can commit.
Yes, I love Will Wade and want him to still be coaching here. Yes, I want our coaches to cheat their arse off in recruiting.
The problem in this case is there is no fall guy. There is no "misunderstanding" what happened or plausible deniability. That's what makes it so much different than the Self case.
We had no choice. If Wade was still coaching here, we'd have a multi year tournament ban (which would kill any momentum we have as a program), Wade likely gets a show cause, and the football program gets a bomb dropped on it too. It's just the reality of the situation.

They had "literal" payments to players/relatives from Penny Hardaway himself, see the Memphis result.

Can you please show me which of these "numerous institutions" had their head coaches wife pay players directly, with the NCAA having proof of said payments?
