They looked better than UCLA in game zero.

I mean they played an FCS team. One can’t really tell much.

UCLA played Hawaii, huge difference

We realize this but you had to pick up a few things even if it were just weaknesses over strengths to a high school team. I’d rather hear where they may have looked rusty

Relax my guy, we will be just fine. Just poking some fun

Duquesne doesn't have the D1 talent Hawaii has. Any SEC team would have beaten Duquesne like that. If anything Fla State showed us how easily we should be able to send Maason Smith and co through their line. Only thing that worries me is their DB's assuming Daniels gets the nod. I'd feel better with Nuss getting the start, but we'll see how it goes.

FSU did what an FBS team should do to an overmatched FCS opponent. It’s hard to take much away from it. TCU smashed Duquesne to start last season and and only won four other games the rest of the season.

I watched a little and it looks like they ran a lot and gave their QB easy completion throws for the most part aka kept it simple. It’s hard to gauge them based off who they played.

FSU did not cover. We are good.

Is their o-line still trash?

Exactly!

DU constantly got sacks and pressure on their qb. FLa St had no running game. FLA St defense looked slow even against a literal high school team. Tomorrow I’m taking the equality out on my house and betting the points and the over for next week.

They had multiple sacks against FSU. FSU defense looked slow even against a highschool team.

Do you remember when the MCNEESE St guy has like 7 sacks against us. Then the rest of the year our oline was a complete shitshow. Picture that but that MCNEESE had twice the talent level of DU. That’s what I saw

They played a team with 160lb DBs, 200lb LBs, 240lb DLs… not a single OL over 300lbs. LSU puts a completely different animal on the field on both sides of the ball.

This is pretty accurate, they had 3 running backs with over 100 yards each, they would impose their will physically on runs, the opposing defense was usually in place but they just couldn’t tackle the runners because of the difference in athleticism and physicality. Passing plays were pretty vanilla, their 6-7 wide receiver caught one long pass for about 50 yards
