Notre Dame loses without Brian Kelly

They had all their articles ready to go about how much better Marcus Freeman is and Notre Dame is now without Brian Kelly when Notre Dame was up 28-7

Just like they had all of their articles ready to go about Notre Dame making the playoff after Brian Kelly left.

You hate to see it. But even more

You love to see it

Was Marcus Freeman calling plays or just relaying them?

That was an epic choke.

I didn’t look anything up but I’m sure sports media Twitter was on fire when Notre Dame was up 28-7

I didnt either, i just remember following their media guys a few days after Kelly was hired by us. The amount of whining and fluff for freeman was laughable

Freeman honestly looked kind of lost and overwhelmed on the sideline.

He got outcoached today.

Anyone subscribing to the idea that he’s the reason Coach Kelly was so successful is an idiot.

Typical short sighted, devoid of fact media

Create the narrative and push it like hell even if all the evidence says otherwise

This just goes to show you how good of a coach BK is in college football. He can take that overrated dumpster fire to plus ten win seasons on the reg. I do expect the Irish to fall back to the 8 to 6 wins a year range

It’s almost like he’s not the guy responsible for their success after all

The media tried to make Freeman, who was there for one season, the reason Notre Dame has been good since 2010 under Brian Kelly.

Exactly. It’s laughable the way they’ve totally devalued the man’s success.

Yes he’s had good staffs and he’s the guy who has built those staffs and kept winning even after losing assistants

There’s one common denominator.

Brian Kelly

Especially in the 2nd half. Gundy took him to school with the halftime adjustments. Reminded me of the look on McVay’s face in the Super Bowl vs Belichick, complete bewilderment

Agree. TV basically said the players made the hire. Those seem to never go well

Players commented on how much more they liked practice with Freeman. If you love practice, it ain't tough enough. The tougher team won in the second half today.

Notre Dame was missing leadership today. I’d be very worried if I gave a shite about Notre Dame
