True. But it's easier to see WVU leaving.
The Big East has already had two defectors this year.
WVU knows the Big East's days are numbered whereas Mizzou could stick it out in the Big XII where they have a long tradition and bitter rivals (Kansas). The Big East hasn't been around long enough to have such traditions in football.
Personally, I think WVU would be a much better fit in the ACC where they would join Pitt, Va. Tech, Virginia, etc.
This may just be a case where the SEC needs a team in the East and WVU is the only one available. Probably not so different from when we added South Carolina right after we courted Florida State.

The two year we won the BCS games the BE was no where close to bad as it is now actually better than the ACC. But basketball no way in hell in the last 8 years we have a final 4, elite8 and multiple sweet 16's mizzou really can't compare.

If WVU is 14 and Mizzou becomes 15, I can see the talks to keep the Big 12 alive disintegrating and Oklahoma becoming 16, seeing as they've already been snubbed by the Pac.
