Mizzou keeps taking their good ol' time, is replaced by WVU, and then the SEC refuses to accept their application.

I don't think the Big12 would kick them out. They probably want to be to 12 teams anyway

I promise you Mizzou would get picked up by a conference. They won't remain INDEPENDENT like WVU did in the past.

I wish WVU would go independent again. Start their own online network. Hell, I'd pay $200/year to watch WVU games over the internet.

WVU is also #15 nationally in merchandise sales. We could swing it. Screw ESPiN.

When you think Mizzou, you need to think "14th Piece of the SEC Network"

If it were up to me, I'd invite WV and Mizzou.

We'll go to 16 sooner or later; might as well get dressed for the dance.

Leave that 16th door open to see who comes calling.

This most probably won't happen, but I'd do it.

The West Virginia fans seem very bitter toward Mizzou. All Mizzou has done is try to leave an unstable conference for a better one. It is only trying to do what it thinks is in its best long term interest. Isn't that exactly what WVU wants also? I have seen no ill will expressed by Mizzou fans toward WVU.

Why the hate toward Mizzou for trying to better itself? WVU clearly wanted the SEC first. How is that different than the alleged claim that Mizzou wanted the B1G first and all the flack it has taken for that?

It seems that the SEC wants what Mizzou has to offer for reasons beyond just football.

WVU will land in a good spot. Who knows it may be the SEC down the road.

I'd for sure rather WVU than Missouri.

You do realize all the Eastern teams were independent up until the 80s, right?

For some reason WVU is getting overlooked while all the other EASTERN INDEPENDENTS aren't having any trouble getting picked up by conferences. ACC loves the other "Eastern" teams, how many teams have now left the Big East while WVU is still in it

According to this report, the Big 12 has WV lined up to take Mizzou's place after they leave for the SEC. Wouldn't that be funny?
