Worst Decider for SEC Divisions I can think of

Teams that are Red(ish):
Alabama
Mississippi State
Arkansas
Georgia
South Carolina
Texas A&M
Ole Miss
Teams that are not red:
Kentucky
LSU
Florida
Missouri
Vanderbilt
Auburn
Tennessee
We can come up with stupid names for the two divisions to match the idea of realignment.
This also marks the worst post i have ever done.

It actually has decent competitive balance.

taking away any rivalries, it really seems balanced.

The Jesse Helms division and the George W. Bush division

Those are actually fairly well balanced.
Gimme UGA as my cross-divisional permanent and I'll take it.

I don't like LSU being with all the orange people. They're a little scummy, you know.

Here is mine:
Cats and Dogs Division:
Auburn
Georgia
Kentucky
LSU
Mississippi State
Missouri
Texas A&M*
Other Things:
Alabama
Arkansas
Florida
Ole Miss
South Carolina
Tennessee*
Vanderbilt
*I couldn't decide if I wanted to count Smokey or Reveille as a dog since it is each schools mascot. I went with Reveille since the Ags worship that dog and have a scoreboard for the deceased ones.

The sad thing is that it was made as a complete joke, but looking at it more, it maintains relative balance of the conference currently and historically with the Big 6, maintains all traditional SEC rivalries as well as sets up really well for cross divisional rivalries. You could always flip around the "new guys" as well.
Auburn - Alabama
Georgia - Florida
Kentucky - Vanderbilt
LSU - Tennessee*
Mississippi State - Ole Miss
Missouri - Arkansas

That's... actually on par with most of the wailing and gnashing of teeth which has been going on since the Mizzou idea was initially floated.

Bloods (red teams) v. Crips (everyone else) ????

Old SOuth v New South
OLD SOUTH
Alabama
Ole Miss
UGA
LSU
Kentucky
Tennessee
South Carolina
NEW SOUTH
Arky
ATM
Florida
Vandy(Students come from all over the country)
Mizzou(if they insist they're southern)
Auburn
Miss State
some could argue Auburn for Old South. I did it for competitive balance between the divisions. Also gave extra points to Kentucky for their horse breeding tradition.

I was going with edible mascots, you know they eat dogs in Asia, versus inedible mascots. I couldn't get to a 7/7 split though.
