LSU has 9(10 if you count a pre-tournament basketball Title) Championships in those three sports.
I believe UF has 5, but I could be wrong. I think those numbers speak for themselves.

Thank God a baseball thread.
We've had some success in all 3. The baseball speaks for itself. By far the 2nd most successful SEC baseball program behind LSU. Our basketball team is awful right now but we've had some good years, problem is we always choke in the NCAA tourny (when we make it) This fan base will support a basketball program if they stopped looking so horrid (hence the reason for an 18,000 seat basketball venue)
Football has been the definition of mediocre. Overrall record. A handful of bowl wins. A Heisman winner, some big names have roamed our sidelines. But still not close to being a "power"
All and all it goes to UF. And behind them would probably be LSU.

when I say LSU basketball is bad, I mean it is TCU with 5 white dudes in the 80s bad
Our hoops team has been crappy for the past couple of years, but we at least won the SEC championship 3 years ago went to the Final Four six years ago. Trent Johnson won the SEC his first year with a lot of talent left by Brady, but they were all in their last year so he's had to rebuild from literally nothing. We are on the rise, IMO, albeit slowly.

South Carolina is sort of the Eastern Version of LSU; they're getting better football success than ever before, if not having a BCS game berth in hand, and their baseball acumen is undoubtedly at the top of the SEC--- but the basketball thing is not always pretty- in the good years, they are NIT champs, in the bad years, they're better than LSU, at least...
Comparing USC to LSU in baseball is entirely valid. In football, no. In basketball, maybe so, although our highs are higher than theirs and our lows are lower. Maybe we are on the way to becoming more consistent.
But without a doubt, Florida has the best overall combined quality of the three sports.

I don't understand why LSU fans are conceding this.
In football, LSU & UF both have 3 NC's, but LSU has more bowl wins and more all-time wins.
In Basketball, LSU has seen some success, but UF has won two NC's, so they win there.
LSU has one of the best baseball programs in the nation, so they win that one.
LSU is better historically in 2/3. I'm not trying to flame Florida, but cmon guys!

I agree, but in the grand scheme of things basketball holds a lot more weight than baseball.

While that may be true, the OP said best overall between the three sports. I take that as treating them all equally.

For those 3 sports, right now would be Florida.

I agree. Their 2 back to back baskeball NC's trumps our 6 NC in baseball.

Florida currently, but not overrall.

So basically, you aren't an elite program in ANY sport. I'm trying to figure out why you would even inject Ole Miss into the conversation if you were an elite baseball program.

frick that!! I'll take LSU's 6 NC and 15 appearances in the CWS and over UF's 2 BB championships and 4 appearances in the Final Four.

I use to consider LSU no. 2 in basketball behind kentucky up until Brady Ball and arkansas came into the league.

I guess that's one way of saying:
"If Ole Miss had an elite-level baseball team, you could consider their baseball team elite."
- or -
"Basically Ole Miss has got nothing."
The OP was asking about 'best SEC programs', Ole Miss. Just sit down and keep quiet.

No, what he's saying is:

Florida is the best right now. UK had a nice year when they won the SEC in baseball, good year in football, and our Basketball team was shitty. Our baseball coach keeps bringing in top 25 recruiting classes and failing miserably.

At the moment, Florida, but it's not like there are light years of separation when you get down to it; there are a few programs that could vault over them in short order--
Right on point with your entire overview!
