They hyped that fricking game more tha they have any game they've had on ESPN you fricking moron (they began hyping it as soon as both teams clinched their divisions). The dynamic was the exact fricking same- winner goes to national title game.

who is talking about games on ESPN?

dude UM-OSU, in a non-title game, had a ticker ALL WEEK on ESPN for the game. UF-Bama? not so much

quote:

Why do you think they hyped USC? ame fricking reson.

they hyped USC because the nation wanted to hear about it because USC has national appeal

hence why they got 5-minute segments THIRTY DAYS IN A ROW

quote:

Florida was hyped many times as the best in history this past off season you dumb frick.

uh, in the preseason. definitely not once the games started. they were criticized early and often for lackluster performances

USC barely beats Fresno State and that's regarded as one of the best games ever and a great game for USC

that's teh difference b/w USC and UF/Bama

well we've had years of data for expansion from other conferences and only the SEC has been successful at it

Ah I see, so what happened in the past is a 100% predictor of the future. Why didn't I realize that because the 16 team WAC (or was it MWC?)didn't make it then the Pac-10 and Big 10 expansions won't. and speaking of the Big 10, how exactly has adding Penn State been unsuccessful for them?

and we're aiming at programs who don't fit the mold of what makes the SEC successful

Are we talking about football or financial success, because they are not the same thing. A&M has all the necessary ingrediants (fertile recruiting ground close by, shite tons of money, large rabid fanbase) that have help make SEC teams successful on the field. You are letting your own blind hatred for A&M and some of their silliness cloud your judgement.

quote:

the big10 doesn't have the recruiting to touch the SEC as a conference

Did the SEC suddenly get all this talent in the last 12 years? The touch has always been there. Now the SEC is taking advantage of it, that can easily change. To think it can't or won't is the beyond stupid.

i mean financially supporting the program. i think TAMU's ADept had to borrow from the university recently

the game has evolved in a way to use pure speed and talent more. now can there be a shift back? sure

and other than FSU and UM (who have a ton of local talent), the SEC never really took much time off from winning titles

when was the last time the Big10 put together a string of titles over a period of say, 5 years?

They didn't ned a ticker becuase they started talking about the game as soon as the fricking divisions were won. And they are the same, title game or not you dumbe frick, becuase both were the last games before the bowls and winner was given a garaunteed shot in the title gme- again your fricking memory is about as sharp as a marble.

Again, how hard is it to understand the difference between a repeat and a three peat? Alabama wins it again this year and it will be the exact same. By the way, FSU go the same hype in the late 90's. Had Florida won it last year, it would have been the same going into this year.

Probably becuase at the time Frsno was ranked number 16 in the country douchebag.

Yeah becuase that steallar 2008 Auburn LSU game wasn't hyped as a great game at all
