Looked at the thread and someone did post it was OSU.
He also posted in the ally thread on the red raiders board so I assume this is what is posted there.
Things just got interesting Raiders and Cowboys to rest of new big 12

Maybe Tech has an offer to go to the MWC on the table?
If the money isn't really there in the Big XII-II, they might realize this and be tempted to go replace Utah...
All this is speculation though, I do not have anything saying this is true. Would be interesting though.

Doubtful.
The Mountain West may take them, but they pay out less per year than the Big 12, Tech would be on the hook for $10 million in buyout money to the league, and they'd get blackballed from playing state schools by Texas.
A&M could weather a blackball if they were in the SEC making $17+ million a year in revenue-sharing.
Tech, though? Not a chance on a Mountain West check.

Is there any talk of the PAC10 attempting to force Texas' hand? If Tech or OSU commit to the PaC10, this new Big 12 lite is done.

Wouldn't the Big XII-II crumble with the loss of Tech?
I doubt Beebe can keep a 9 school conference viable.
MWC could offer stabilty and we know they have an opening. Just got Boise as well, so they have been looking.
Just saying, this would be interesting. I don't think this board can close down at the end of the week. Things still happening.
TTU needs to stick it to the man and do what A&M just couldn't do.

If this happens, Missouri and Kansas would probably follow suit.

They certainly have the power to and I'm sure Scott has noticed that Tech is holding out...

The MWC would have a chance to get some big names and look like a BCS conference. Certainly the BCS would agree.

But if Tech is really against signing this deal as is I would assume something is on the table for them. If not this is just grand standing by their admins to say we "fought it" to get the best possible deal for Tech. Which could certainly be true, guess we will know more after the Tech BOR meeting today.

I'll bring it back if needed.

Nah, they would be out in the cold. If tech does move to PAC10, then OU, OSU, and UT would be right behind them. aTm would be left holding themselves since Utah is in. KU and Mizzou would be an afterthought.

"Beebe says they have no new tv deal in place at this point. All reports to the contrary are inaccurate to this point."
LINK
That was from his interview with RedRaiderNation.
Someone also said that the Oklahoman is reporting there is no new TV deal!
WHERE IS ALL THIS MONEY COMING FROM!?!

We were talking MWC, not Pac-10. Tech, Okie St, Kansas, Mizzou, and K-State is a good package of teams. If Tech bolted to the MWC, they would have to have at least three of the other four ready to follow.

But would they be an afterthought to the MWC? I don't think so.
Tech, KU, and Mizzou + Boise would make MWC a very viable conference

Apparently, from screwing over the five teams who couldn't make it to another BCS conference if the Big 12 collapsed.

No problem. We're all just grapsing at straws to destroy this monstrosity of the Texas Conference.
