Texas Tech BOR still in closed session

It's been that way for over 40 minutes. The more this drags on, the more I think they are seriously considering saying no to this deal UT put together with Beebe.

Do they need TT? Houston or TCU could fill that role. I'm not sure if TT has the status to hold anything up. If TT doesn't sign and the Big12 offers another school, where does that leave TT?

In the Pac10 instead of Utah

Tech would be able to join the Mountain West, which is already short one team thanks to Utah bolting and could lose another in TCU.
The Mountain West may not be a BCS conference right now, but it's certainly more stable and equitable than SWC 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Tech Fans are very upset with not going to the PAC 10. I'm guessing there is a clause that says you have to commit for a very long time and if you leave the conference you owe millions to the Big 12-2. I hope Tech and A&M wise up.

I maybe naive but I don't see how the Big 12-2 could survive with 9 teams and no team of substance to replace the 3 that have left.

Baylor ain't blocking shite unless Texas tells them to, and if the only choice is joining the MWC, they had better borrow a pen and sign the contract before it is too late.
Now, perhaps the PAC-10 threw a wrench into things and started talking to TT without Texas. That wouldn't be a bad move for the PAC-10, since it would get them into the Texas tv market and may force the other teams' hands again.

Dude, they aren't going to be racing in bikinis either. I'm guessing it was just a bunch of Tech girls doing a Tech calendar as a fund raiser. Even so, it has had a small psychological effect making me predisposed to root for the Tech swim team.
