Was "Goodbye to Texas University. Goodbye to the Orange and White." ever more appropiate than last night?

I thought about that too.

Speaking of Aggie War Hymn, help me here Aggies, what the hell does Short. A. mean?

is A symbolism for what a sawed-off longhorn would look like?

Also, was Varsity pre-Bevo?

Varsity was the name of the Texas sports teams before they adopted the longhorn.

The song goes "saw varsity's horns off short. A. Whoop!"

So short is sawing the horns off.

Saying A at A&M is to replicate a gunshot. For our wildcats (What we do in celebration of something like scoring, or after a yell) usually has a gunshot.
-Freshman throw their hands in the air and yell AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
-Sophomores point two guns at each other and, whilst recoiling them to the floor, yell A A A A A!
-Juniors put their hands together to make a gun, point it downwards and yell A A A WHOOP!
-And senior point the two-handed gun downwards, yell A, then point upwards and yell WHOOP!

This is why I didn't want A&M in the SEC.

Believe it or not, i'm married to an Aggie but she's isn't the hardcore type. I did know about the upwards Whoop though but I guess I never caught the 'A' part.

Sure they have some quirky stuff but I don't know how you can't objectively appreciate watching Saw Varsity's horn off at Kyle Field or watching the 12th man during an OT.

The married part?

Well the reason I put the married part b/c if she was a hardcore Aggie I would have no choice but to know all that.

Also do not forget the fun traditions such as the corps squeezing their nuts when they are losing, them bending over when they yell (because its scientifically proven that your louder in that position), of course the yell leaders. and aggies help me out here, who in the hell is "Ol Rock"?

Ol' Rock is a fictional character from way back, used in Aggie stories at yell practice and such, as in:

"Ol' Rock and Raquel were making out in Rock's pickup when things started getting hot and heavy.

Raquel said, "kiss me lower", so Rock eased down from her lips and kissed her neck.

"Lower, Rock", said Raquel, so Rock undid her bra and had some more fun.

Finally, Raquel was beside herself with passion.

She grabbed Rock's hair, looked him straight in the eye, and said "Kiss me where it stinks."

So Rock started up the truck and drove her to Pasadena."

The "main" Aggie. Just a fictional character someone came up with for the opportunity to tell stories about what the ideal good person (doesn't lie, cheat, steal) is.

Often referred to as Ol' Sarge. You usually see pictures of him as a cartoon.
