I'm driving now so I'll keepthis short. Let's assume your chants are so complicated you need someone to hold your hand while doing it, female yell leaders wouldn't be capable of this if trained and look better doing it?

There are others, each with a specific hand signal, or passback, given by the Yell Leaders to initiate the yell. Cheerleaders don't do this. They get the crowd to chant lame things like "Defense" and "Texas Fight". Yells are longer, they aren't chants and are only yelled once, and they are much more difficult to coordinate than cheers. I hope that clarifies.
Are you actually trying to tell us that even a hot dumb blonde can't chant some Sis Boom Bah shite while making a 'roll it up roll it up throw it in a pan' hand motion?

The fail is strong with this thread.

Certainly, and there has been talk that a chick could end up yell leader. What you have to keep in mind is that yell leaders are elected by the student body, almost always come from the Corps, and traditionally are all male. A&M is an extremely traditional school, not unlike all SEC schools, and change does not come easily.
However, it is very possible that we see a chick get enough support to get elected. There are girls in the Corps, after all, although they aren't all hotties. The point here is the same point that we have been trying to beat into your stubborn heads the whole time: Yell Leaders are NOT the same thing as cheerleaders. We don't have cheerleaders, and the way that Yell Leaders are appointed, in addition to what they do on game days, is very, very different than what cheerleaders do.

You guys have been stating ad nauseum the Corp only has 1500-2000 corp members total in every thread, every argument. They "don't represent the entire student body" blah blah...
Are you now saying the other 48000 can do something about a fricking girl leading a "yell" and simply won't?
Posted on 9/28/11 at 5:04 pm to StrickAggie06
Lets see a Cheerleaders leads the people in cheers for the school. Yell Leaders do the freaking same thing don't even try and spin to something it is not.. I don't care what you try and call it.. They are 100% all male cheerleaders team..
Posted on 9/28/11 at 5:06 pm to StrickAggie06
So the student body is keeping hotties off the field.
and they are electing Corp guys, who most of y'all seem to make fun of to be yell leaders which most of you seem to love.
Y'all are some confusing mother frickers.

Dammit, why start a thread like this? WHo gives a shite what a bunch of people from Ala-f***-ing Bama think of us?

Sigh. Cheerleaders do flips, scream in megaphones, hold up signs, and lead extremely simplistic, mostly overly common, cheers and chants such as "Defense" or "Two Bits" or other lame arse crap. Yell Leaders do none of those things, but they do use hand signals to direct complex yells. Cheerleaders do not use hand signals. Yell Leaders are also a reflection of our past as an all-male military school.
Addressing your other point, on top of A&M being a traditional school, its enrollment is also >50% female, the vast majority of which happen to like Corps guys. In other words, the number of guys available who would willingly break tradition and vote in hot girls are in the minority.
Sherwood,
I didn't start this waste of a thread, as it obviously serves no purpose, but I thought I would try to clarify some things in hopes that some of the imbreds from Bama and LSU could figure it out. Looks like that goal is hopeless, after all.
Oh shite, I almost left out the racists from Ole Miss. How could I forget the KKK!?

All I know is if/when I make the trip to A&M, if some chach bag with a high and tight tries to tell me to "uncover" and thinks I'm gonna listen...well he's a dumbass.

This couldn't be more wrong
The reason that the yell leaders are from the corps is because the corps are the only students who give a shite and vote.

You new aggies need to learn how to respond to the correct person.

Lol, that's also a strong possibility. I know I never voted...

They weren't "from" Ole Miss dumbass. No one was paying attention to them and those that did were heckling them. One was actually wearing an Auburn hat.

They will need a yell leader to show them how to use TD!

Yell leaders are the gayest thing in college football. Period.

You come onto an SEC board talking shite about SEC teams. You're not one of us yet.
You know what they say about Texas....

I thought tradition was your foundation? You're admitting now that 48000 don't give a shite about that tradition and couldn't care less who is leading "the best student section in the land" and thus, don't rock the vote?
Posted on 9/28/11 at 5:38 pm to StrickAggie06
You got a video example of this shite in action so can wrap my brain how complicated a cheer is that it needs a signal caller to be performed.
