So all the SEC presidents get together on a Sunday morning, to hold a meeting to deal with the prospects of a potential additional member, and their press release doesn't say "don't bother applying, you won't be considered for membership" but instead is a big CYA saying "we won't make the first move, but if you apply we will consider your application".
We've got an entire new board dedicated to sorting out all the rumors and speculation of said program possibly joining the SEC, plus what other schools may join as member number 14, and possibly 15 and 16 as well. We're watching an entire school (Baylor) having a collective meltdown over the prospects of said move.
Not bad for a program with "no reputation".

There's no need to worry about whether A&M will stick out like a sore thumb. We're not coming to the SEC.....EVER.
