Not sure. Most Mizzou players come from Texas now. Of course, that could change in the SEC and they could open up some other pipelines, but I think they would want to keep a game in Texas.

So if this is the case and Auburn goes to the East, will the SEC go to 9 conference games to keep the rivalries intact?

If auburn goes East, then Alabama would need to have 2 permanent East Rivals.

What would actually make the most sense would be to move both Bama and Auburn to the East and Vandy to the West with Vandy and Tennessee being permanent cross divisional rivals.

Good for the SEC, power teams like LSU, Bama, Florida get another easy win. Good move.

I would like the addition of Mizzou personally. Better than West Va IMO.

That does make more sense. But then with Bama in the East, who is there perm rival in the West? LSU? LSU already has FL in East. I would really hate to see LSU not play Bama or Auburn!!

I like your position of 9 games with 2 permanent East rivals. Only way LSU could still play both Bama & Auburn, but have to drop FL. Dunno. LOT to be worked out.

I personally could care less about Bama or Auburn as permanent rivals. I think keeping two permanent Rivals would be a bit unfair to a team like LSU. Some school is going to get screwed in this setup unless Mizzou goes to the East, which is possible, but still a tough sell to teams like UF.

The only reason Bama is a rival now is Saban. Auburn is only a rival because of the recent history of the past 20 or so years. We've played Arky more times than we've played Auburn in our team's history. We've played UF more times than Auburn.

So pretty safe to say Mizzou is #14 now?

Think we all could guess this is the money pick. This is like adding another Mississippi State, but with a major media market.

Some here have said this article doesn't smell right. I agree. As under-wraps as whatever is going on has been, where and how would some KC reporter get this much "info" to put out there in a scoop, unless maybe it is misinformation like somebody has suggested, trying to motivate the stones at the B1G to roll their way. I believe with all that is in me that leaders at Mizzou do want to be in the B1G and not the SEC.
