You say this like it could even be possible. It's too late for this, I'm done.

In case you didn't notice it is exactly what the OP stated could happen in his posts throughout the thread and in his OP. After a few people told him it couldn't he still put it forth as an option. So maybe if I tell him for the twentieth time it will not happen it will get through to him, but somehow I doubt it.

Would never happen, but I would rather leave the SEC than stop playing Alabama every year.

This is what is impossible to get through the thick Rantard skulls in this thread. They act like the permanent cross division rival was exclusively to please 1 team (Alabama). They don't realize that Auburn and Georgia fans would also be pissed if any of them were in Alabama or Tennessee's position.

The whole thing could be solved very easily by simply adding Missouri to the SEC East but some fans would rather destroy rivalries all over the conference than going that simple route.

I have a very bad feeling Tennessee is going to be the one that gets screwed. We're the one in danger of losing our biggest rival. I know some Bama fans say UT is their biggest rival, but even if this game is lost, they still have Auburn. Auburn will hit the jackpot and play everyone they want to. If UT loses Bama, we won't have a real rivalry, IMO.

I understand why other people don't care about UT/Bama. Most probably don't understand what this rivalry means and some probably just think it's silly to put everything on hold to protect a few games.

However, I hope you at least understand why UT and Bama fans are passionate about protecting this rivalry. It's one thing to think protecting this rivalry isn't worth it, but I hope you realize why we feel this way.

Don't expect the Rantards in this thread to understand that. They think everything is done at the whim of the mean ole Bammers that are selfishly holding up progress for a meaningless series that has been played 93 times.

Putting Missouri in the East also preserves LSU's games with Alabama and Auburn which I assume would be important to LSU fans. If LSU fans are tired of playing Florida as their permanent, then by all means give that game to Ole Miss or Miss State. Problem solved.

Honestly if the Auburn/Georgia, Auburn/Bama, and Tenn/Bama rivalries are that important (not saying they aren't), then upon admission of a 14th school the SEC should look to re-divide the conference to put those 4 in the same division (actually works geographically).

That way they are guaranteed to play one another every year, and being in the same division, the rivalry games would mean even more than they do now.

Making the remaining ten conference schools adopt annual cross divisional rivalries is not the simple solution.

The obvious answer is to have OU/OSU on speed dial and if Texas screws around in the negotiations bring them and Missouri in to make 16 schools and move the Alabama schools into the East.

frick that shite. I say we'd play Tennessee every year, even if it meant doing it in the form of a brawl behind a bar with fricking broken beer bottles.
