So why not Memphis?

Now I know it would be another Tiger school and Tenn. Would try to block it, but Memphis seems more in line with SECOND schools and the Fed Ex Pres. just stated that he will give 10 million to the power conference that accepts their admission. If TAMU is added we could add Memphis and be done with all this expansion talk. What do yall say?

its a shitty school with a shitty athletic department in a state with 2 other SEC schools. Pass.

Nope. Arky, Ole Miss, MSU and Tennessee would never go for it. Memphis is prime recruiting area for them, and SEC already owns the Memphis TV market anyway with these teams surrounding it

Memphis doesn't expand the SEC footprint, and hasn't shown a real committment to FB until the recent hiring of Larry Porter.
I believe if the SEC doesn't get any of the B12 schools, the next expansion will be to get the NC & VA markets w/UNC, NCST, UVA, & VaTech.

Might as well bring in La Tech, Troy State, and Ark St. with them and be done with this early.
The idea behind expansion is to better the conference. Its about quality not quantity.

Their stands are empty and they don't win a lot. They probably don't have very many fans.
