Louisville doesn't add a new market and they have a very fickle fan base.

It makes more sense than thinking teams will leave the ACC to come to the SEC.

This is the SEC, not Conference-USA.

SEC has their pick of any ACC schools. Just watch.

SEC schools are flagship state universities & somehow Vandy. I don't think TCU and Louisville fit the profile.

Then why add at all? To be bigger? So we'll add TCU because of what reason? That's why we added aTm, adding TCU is a terrible idea.

To make four 16 team conferences work all the conferences (yes, the SEC included) will have to go out of their traditional geographical boundaries to get teams.

We MIGHT get an ACC team. We would be lucky. I think the ACC stays intact and adds 4 teams.

A&M, TCU, Mizzou and WVU would be fine with me. I have not been very keen on the idea of WVU until today. Their fans are very excited and WANT the SEC. In my world that counts for a lot.

SEC won't go after Mizzou, not considered a "southern" school.

I don't think the SEC cares about "southern." The SEC cares about markets and money,

Which is why TCU doesn't make any sense with aTm already in the mix.

I really don't see why the SEC doesn't go hard after Mizzou, OU, and OSU. That isn't what I want to see, but I feel like its the obvious play for the SEC to make. It would prevent the Pac12 from making their big splash and would add 4 solid all around athletic departments. If you can't get UNC or Virginia Tech, OU/OSU seems to make a lot more sense than WVU or Louisville or TCU.

A/M, WVU,NC state, and Rice. My new four picks for the SEC. RICE may seem strange but big time academics and even if I don't think it matters, everybody else says it does. Plus they are in the Houston market gives the SEC a easy win a year, hopefully. NC STate, 4 major schools in NC is ACC schools, they need to spread their footprint so trade NC state for Uconn. JMO

We have Texas, we have aTm. Rice or TCU makes no sense on any level.

i think the SEC would have easily taking that deal but OU's Boren only wants the Pac 10. he may be a Rhodes Scholar that wants to hang out Stanford and Berkeley, but when OU plays its first Pac-16 game out west, it will be like w/ the Clampets moved to Beverly Hills.

We have Houston with A&M. If we add another Texas school then I'm all for TCU as they would solidify the DFW market. Piss on Rice.
