SEC North & South

First time on this side of TD, but has anyone talked about switching from east west to north south? The way I figure, the only change would be Florida would be with the west teams and Arkansas would be with the east teams. aTm would join the new south and the 14th would join the north.

It would not be in the best interest of the SEC to use north/south and all the conotations it contains to Civil War, we get enough of that without making us look totally silly

Wouldn't be much more of a joke than the east is this year. Most have Arkansas ranked higher than Florida, so the east would gain a little there.

It would be just like the big 12 north and south. The north would be terrible and the south would be impossible.

Using I-20 as the divider:
North: Mizzou, Arky, MSU, MS, Vandy, TN, KY
South: A&M, LSU, Bama, Aubie, Fla, UGa and SC.
No way that would ever happen-South division is brutal. (Now, for 20 bonus points, someone tell me why the strongest SEC teams are in the Deep South)
