Never. Gonna. Happen.

A&M and LSU have duked it out over recruits and on the field for decades. Both are ag schools. It's a close, cross-boarder fight.

Not to get pissy or anything, but I remember A&M beating LSU for recruits and 5 in a row before you guys canceled the series. You are either too young or suffer from amnesia. By "close" I mean in proximity to each other. As in, the closest D1 team to the east of A&M.

I also remember the Clinton presidency.

I'm sure there are some Ole Miss fans who remember the moon landing, and relevancy.

I'm just saying....stay with me here. We're talking about a rivalry. Who has the best rivalry with A&M? Pigs or Swamp Kitties? I said LSU because of the history, similarity, etc. You bust out with the LOL and I have to remind you of the topic.

Do you agree or disagree?

You're looking for a reasonable response?

FWIW I do not care about Texas A&M in the slightest. Whatever "rivalry" we had has long since evaporated, and likely won't start again in the near future. A&M is signing up for a solid decade of arse kicking. LSU will add you to the list of unrequited rivals along with Ole Miss and Arkansas.

fwiw, last year's seniors graduated with a 3-5 record vs. those two schools.

And fwiw, Arky is much more of a historical rival to A&M than LSU is, so he's wrong about that.

Exception or rule?

And where in the general psyche of LSU fans do the Bears and Hogs rank? And where do those teams rank relative to Alabama, Florida, or even Auburn?

Just curious -- Who is LSU's rival? What about Ark? I'm not talking about the SEC manufactured "rival" but the team you really hate? LSU v. Bama? Ark v. Ole Piss?

We don't really have one anymore.

It would be Alabama or Florida, but they have long-standing rivalries with other teams.

We are really just everyone's rivals. Everybody wants to beat us, everybody brings their A-game.

Ole Miss/LSU used to be one of the great rivalries, but Ole Miss athletics fell off a cliff.

Arkansas fans hate us for some reason, but they only recently became relevant.

As a bit of general information:

Arkansas leads it's series with TAMU 40-24-3
LSU leads it's series with TAMU 27-20-3.

LSU and Arkansas are similar in that we don't have a real rival in the SEC.

I hate LSU, but a lot of Arkansas fans don't really. Its more heated than it used to be, and over time it might become something. Check back in 20 more years.

A decade ago, I think most Arkansas fans would have told you we hate Tennessee. We played them annually and they seemed to always get the better of us. Now they are just another game. LSU is similar in their approach as it changes from time to time.

A&M's rival will always be Texas, no matter what. It doesn't really make a damn to me who considers who "rivals".

My post was just pointing out how much history we have with A&M. Arkansas has never considered A&M a true rival. Back in the SWC we hated Texas much more and whoever was hot as a team in a particular decade. We've always had a lot of success versus A&M.

I do hate A&M some though. That shouldn't make you feel too special. I hate all the teams in the SEC West.

It might come more naturally for Arkansas fans at first, because we are familiar with you.

You just made it seem like LSU owns them. They don't. They did for a while, but they don't.

This move is so meaningless, the SEC is already the best in the nation by a wide margin, why add a more delusional version of Arky?

Yes we do. It's Arkansas. Just accept it. Border game, Thanksgiving weekend, six straight (and 8 of 10) decided by one possession, and six of seven games at one point decided the West.

What more do you need? Seriously.

because it's a proactive move.....i hate SEC fans who don't like to make positive moves for the conference.

Adding Tulane would also be proactive. If this move were to get an elite program, I would be fine with it, but adding mediocrity to the conference does not make much sense to me.
