I don't want to read this thread much until an announcement is made but has anyone mentioned that there was an SEC chant at A&M's graduation today?

But look at it this way, seems like a slap to Texas for sure, and it also could be the first move to break up a conference that right now has an easier path to the BCS championship game.
To me the end of the Big 12 (the way it is now) might be a good thing. Right now either OU or Texas really just has to be the other and they are a top contender for the BCS, don't even have to play a conference championship game.

FSU will not be joinng the SEC
I hope you are correct. It just wouldn't feel right to me. I like playing them every year cause I love to hate FSU but I just don't want them in the SEC.

Any possible way the SEC could turn them down after all of this?
I would think that schools and the sec would vote on this before an invitation is given to A&M not the other way around.

I fricking hope not. I'd rather have The U. And that's saying a lot.

I'm sure you're right but the epic fail on their part if the SEC did turn them down in the end would be......well......epic.

It's already been discussed (as far as i know) that the SEC will not be looking to invite a school that already has an SEC school in that state. That means no Georgia Tech,Clemson,Florida St. or Miami .
The best quality school to join the SEC as the 14th team is Virginia Tech imho.

I'd rather have FSU over the U. But all together I want Virginia Tech.

Easy there buddy, I wouldn't go that far. I am still praying for the day our state can figure out a way to cut that part of the state off and let that shite sink in the ocean.

There is simply no plausible argument that VT is a better get than FSU. None.

Does that mean we get our "thug" title taken away

Take it FWIW, but Clay Travis had an article today basically saying that despite the fact only a simple majority of SEC schools would have to vote in a new school, Slive wants a unanimous vote to bring in a new school.
If that is indeed true, then Clemson and Florida State are indeed out of consideration.
And VaTech's AD took them out of the picture today as well.
What's left? West Virginia/NCState/Missouri/Maryland

Have you ever heard of the D.C. & Richmond Tv market.....
D.C. is a top 10 market.

Add A&M + FSU. Eliminate divisions. Five permanent rivals, three rotating games. Top two duke it out in Atlanta.
Alabama - AU TN MSU VU LSU
Arkansas - A&M LSU KY OM TN
Auburn - AL GA FL MSU FSU
Florida - GA AU FSU SC VU
Florida State - FL SC GA AU A&M
Georgia - AU FL SC FSU KY
Kentucky - TN VU AR GA SC
Louisiana State - OM MSU AL AR A&M
Mississippi - MSU LSU VU TN AR
Mississippi State - OM LSU AL AU A&M
South Carolina - GA FSU FL KY A&M
Tennessee - VU KY AL OM AR
Texas A&M - AR LSU MSU FSU SC
Vanderbilt - TN KY OM AL FL
All the classic rivalries are there (welcome back, Auburn vs. Florida.)

Interesting.....But man, Auburn would have it tough with that schedule.
