frick NC State. frick A&M.
The Aggies are weird as shite and NC State has sucked at everything since Valvano passed
This is exactly wtf I am saying right here. aTm needs psychotherapy and NC State needs a nuke.

Florida State would be cool. Aggies are just fricking odd. Keep the Texas folks on the other side of the state line.

This guy must be DELIBERATELY trying to piss our BOR and Pres off. I think he wants us to leave. He wants his conference to implode.
No, he already knows aTm is leaving and wants to save face by acting like it is no big deal when in reality it is a big deal. FOX and ABC will want to renegotiate the contract when aTm leaves and the pie is going to get a lot smaller for everyone but Texas. Outside of the Red River Rivalry there will not be a single marquee matchup in the Big 12 for the networks to show. It will be a conference with 2 national programs and nothing else.

More quotes from VA Tech's AD: LINK
quote:
“I’m aware of the rumors that are out there, but nobody has contacted us at all – and I don’t think anybody will,” Weaver said. “Virginia Tech has always wanted to be in the Atlantic Coast Conference and I would think that’s where we’re going to stay, because it’s the right thing and the best thing for our university.”
Easy to say now, but if the SEC does eventually come calling?
“I think we would politely decline,” Weaver said. “That’s my knowing how excited we were and pleased we were when we got in the ACC. And when you realize the travel involved and so on, we’re virtually in a ‘bus league’ right now. The SEC would cause other travel issues. Certainly there is (increased) revenue involved (with joining the SEC). But I just feel like, and this is me talking – I haven’t talked to the president or any of that – Virginia Tech would politely decline, because we’re very happy to be in the Atlantic Coast Conference.”

Oof. I really liked the idea of Virginia Tech. Their fans traveled great to College Station.
Florida State would be badass too though.

Yeah seriously. Chill out people. Playoffs are in the future for sure if this ball keeps on rolling.
Playoffs will have to happen or else you will have the OU/Texas winner v. Florida St every year in the title game. The problem is the Big East, ACC, and Big 12 will love their cupcake schedules and will vote down a playoff. I think the Pac 16, SEC, and possibly the Big 10 will eventually want a playoff to keep cupcakes from getting a free ride. The poll voters are still too stubborn to put a 12-1 SEC team in over a 13-0 ACC team when it eventually comes to that.

I simply answered the question: of the three schools in bold print, pick one. Clemson wasn't an option (nor was VT, my personal best pick which now appears to be off the table): the picks were FSU, GT, and NC State. The A&M move was considered a given.
Georgia will block GT; Florida (and maybe also Georgia) will block FSU. NC State does bring in some new (though small) markets, plus it isn't good in football so maybe Vandy can beat someone.

you're mad because you're ugly
probably didn't even go to UF like 90% of the fans in FL
conversation with a guy in a gas station:
him: FSU sucks
me: oh you like UF? when did you graduate?
him: didn't go to college
typical of most white trash in Florida

Come on down. FSU is probably my second favorite team. Distant second though. I'd loved to see FSU frick up Florida's cake walk in the east.

Not hating the FSU possibility.

Wonder who CUSA picks up if Houston bolts. Might be a good place for startup UTSA.
