First time posting here. If you know Aggies, you know that this statement will NOT keep us in the Big 12(10):

The U of Houston move is purely political.
If A&M leaves, and Houston replaces, then a ton of the legislature is happy that Houston (as a state school) is now in better sports conference.
From A&M's perspective, we don't kill the Big XII by leaving.
But Houston is no "real" replacement for A&M ...
A&M draws more people for a Midnight Yell Practice
than UH draws for some football games

Beebe seems like a smart man personally to me. A&M sounds like a bunch of nancies by putting this all out in the public weeks before the ink would even be dry.
