So do you think anyone not from the SEC west plays more than 2 or 3 big games a year? Definitely not anyone in the PAC, or ACC, or Big East, or Big 10, and certainly not the Big 12. Most BCS teams choose to schedule fluff out of conference and are happy with two tough conference games all year. The difference is TCU and Boise don't play only 2 good teams per year by choice--they play their conference schedule and try to schedule tough out of conference, but the immortal "why would we play them, we have nothing to gain" prevents those OOC matchups, while conveniently preserving the "they don't play anyone" argument. When they do get something on the books, a lot of the time in TCUs case they have paid their way out of the contract to prevent a loss (Oklahoma, TTech, Texas, and Arkansas have done this to TCU and some of them multiple times). If they expect to win, they keep the contract and play the game, and in doing so they are actually artificially deflating TCUs already good record against BCS schools.
