They might have A&M by the balls now.

The Southeastern Conference presidents met Tuesday night and voted to admit Texas A&M. But the vote came with a stipulation that still must be worked out. The SEC presidents voted to admit Texas A&M as the 13th member of that league so long as each individual member of the Big 12 waives its right to litigation against the SEC.
Baylor will have its revenge!

Liucci sure seems to think this is true. Seems like Baylor has the hammer now. Not even Shakespeare could have written a twist like this.
How does A&M bribe Baylor?

check again Tiggers - I'm hearing the same thing. Baylor is threatening to file a lawsuit to stop this process.

I am going to do an "I told ya so" because a month ago I did an "I eat crow" thread to tip my cap to Big Kat that he was right and Baylor quielty and easily let A&M go.
This is too funny. Why would Baylor now give up their right to sue and sign a waiver? It kind of sounds like the SEC was looking for a way out of accepting aggie and found it. What a curveball from Slive.

Wow.... If Slive did not really want aTm, he really took the long hard road if you are right. I mean, I wish we had a commissioner smart enough to just say no to begin with.
You're really reaching and clinging now.
And please tell me that you feel Baylor is bigger and holds more power than Slive and the SEC.

when the hell has Baylor been quiet this entire process. They are the crazy desperate chick in fatal attraction about ready to slit their wrists so we dont leave them. Other than you, its the most pathetic thing I have ever seen.

Well if the SEC and A&M have their ducks in a row legally with the tortuous interference thing, and A&M is following the prescribed Big 12 exit procedures, then this would be a frivolous suit and A&M could promise not to bankrupt them for fricking up this deal.
Posted on 9/7/11 at 7:56 am to Bob Ag
if any horns or bear fans really believe Slive will sit back and let BAYLOR and Ken Starr tell him how the frick things will be.... they are already in the stage called denial

EXACTLY. Baylor has gone bonkers over the last month. Big Kat (aggie poster) assured me that:
- A&M had a standing offer and everything would go smoothly
- Baylor would not put up any roadblocks

Look, both Chip Brown and Liucci and other legit reporters all over Twitter are saying that the SEC offer to A&M is contingent on getting every current Big 12 school to sign a waiver promising that they won't sue the SEC or Slive personally. I didn't make this up. Obviously, the decision makers in the SEC don't think this is frivolous.
As I have always said, I want A&M to the SEC so that the Big 12 blows up and (hopefully) Texas goes to the Big 10. Still, even you guys must see the comedy in Baylor now holding A&M by the balls.
This just highlights the aggie hypocrisy.
A&M always voted for unequal revenue distribution in the Big 12 and stayed last year because they were promised many millions more in TV revenue than 70% of the conference BUT when Texas got a ton of cash for the LHN the unequal revenue sharing became this great evil.
Then, A&M says it has to look out for its own best interests and go to the SEC....fine. But, now that Baylor can look out for its own interests by not signing the waiver, A&M is outraged at Baylor. Look at Liucci's twitter - he is losing his mind.
Why should Baylor sign this waiver that effectively sends them out of a BCS conference for good?

Unless Liucci and tons of other journalists are wrong, THIS HAS ALREADY HAPPENED.

do not call Liucci and ESPECIALLY Chip Brown journalists.
that's like calling Randy fricking Galloway a real sports journalists.

Non-serious answer: Buy them new tarp for their stadium.
Serious answer: I've heard that Baylor's College of Medicine is in serious financial straits. A&M could agree to take it off their hands (like they did in the 1970's with their dental school) in exchange for Baylor waiving any lawsuits.

Your passive aggressive butthurt posts are getting really tiresome.

I'm calling Dr. Drunkenstein out. You are a Baylor grad or fan, not UT. No one at UT would defend Baylor like you are doing.
I'm not taking sides because I'm opposed to expansion but I saw your exact quote about Shakespeare and the hammer on the Baylor boards.
Me thinks you are a pencil necked Baylor english major.

I am most certainly a Texas-ex. I just love watching things blow up in the face of aggie. No matter what happens, this is funny.

If it is all lies, why hasn't the SEC or A&M disputed it? For Liucci and Chip Brown to be on the same page (especially with Liucci losing his mind) I believe it.

voted for unequal revenue distribution in the Big 12
you bring up this ridiculous argument over and over and over again - yet you fail to mention a key item
Erin Hogan and Chad Hastings have stated dozens of times that this "vote" was also under threat that if they schools didnt vote this way, Texas was going to leave and blow up the conference. You mistakenly use this as if all the other schools were totally OK with this - when in fact they were given an ultimatum. No schools besides Iowa St and Baylor are good with unequal revenue sharing, but they were strongarmed to vote in favor for fear of losing the conference altogether.
This is a poor poor job on your part to try and spin this and deflect the backlash off of your very arrogant pretentious university. Your beloved Longhorns started this, they pissed off one too many member schools and this is what you get. You are not innocent in any of this. When we look back and the dust settles as to why the big12 imploded - there will be only one place to look: University of Texas
just own it, and quit all this posturing
