If A&M joins the SEC, which SEC team becomes the bigger rivalry for Aggies: LSU or Arkansas?

I honestly don't know, that's why I'm asking.

As a TAF Member married to a 12thMan member, it will easily be LSU vs. A&M.

They have more reason to go to Baton Rouge anyway than Little Rock.

It isn't even close.

LSU. Serious history there.

Why not both? I know for me a LSU/A&M rivalry would be bigger than that Golden boot bullshite between LSU and Arkansas.

I would personally love to see the LSU/A&M rivalry renewed. I remember when I was growing up that the first game of LSU's season was usually A&M, and I can remember my father taking me to those games...I always loved watching their band.
Love to see that again!

It may be like Tennessee and Auburn for Alabama- the bitterness fluctuates with the success of each team

LSU, no question in my mind.

I think it is LSU and not even close, but wanted to hear what A&M fans have to say since Chris Low's article seems to infer Arkansas is the natural rival despite all the history.

yeah, that's a run-on sentence but I'm too lazy to edit it.

I think both will be rivalries (they already are). The question was about the bigger rivalry of the two.

What is the overall record between LSU and aTm?

As far as baseball, basketball, T&F etc... Arkansas has very, very lopsided win totals against A&M. Not sure about LSU.

I don't care who calls who a 'rival', but history and # of games, across the board, in all sports, falls towards Arkansas.

(News Flash: A&M was a SWC whipping boy for Arkansas. They may hate LSU more though. I can't answer that.)

it really doesn't matter either way.. we can play TAMU on opening weekend and they can play Arky on rivalry weekend.

The real question becomes... who does LSU play on rivalry weekend now?

Arkansas? A&M and UT will/should still be playing day after Thanksgiving.

Arkansas and aTm would probably keep their contract with games in Jerry World in early October (I think that's when it is).
