Thankfully someone had the right mind to tap the brakes before this got out of control.

Pat Forde called this earlier today. Said that OU wasn't attractive to the PAC 12 without Texas.

Because the Pac 12 said the same thing last year. No Texas, no deal.

Like the Pac-12 cares about CU's opinion...

Bet this ends just like last year, with a couple teams moving and everyone else staying put. Lot of hype, little action.

So if the Pac 12 isn't expanding and the Big 12 will try to stay in place, does this mean Baylor won't waive their right to sue A&M?

The only problem is last year the Big 12 teams were somewhat mum. Now, you have aTm already gone for sure. And OU publicly stating they want reform. So something has to give with the current situation in the Big 12. Just seems way to unstable for long term.

Yea but if Big 12 stays pat, the UT OU rivalry could be nastier than ever. Especially if UT has to make concessions. OR if OU doesn't find a new home.

Pac-12 stays 12.
Big 12 survives.
Big East pledges to stay together.
NotreDame stays independent.
Everyone, thanks for playing.

Translated: "We would love to have UT's money but past experience has taught us that everything UT touches eventually crumbles (see SWC and Big 12)."

Smart move for the Pac 12. They have a very cohesive conference with everyone on the same page. It would only be a matter of time before Texas started brewing up trouble.

Looks like an even weaker version of the Big 12 will survive for another couple years until this mess starts over again.

The Pac-12 isn't the only option for OU/Okie State. OU obviously knew this information before today. They still plan on leaving unless Texas makes some concessions.

Just heard on my broken car radio that C-USA has extended a formal invitation to Texas

"Hmm, Pac 12 push back, Boone Pickens asking former Aggie cheerleader Rick Perry to save Big 12, saying A&M may be "sobbering up." Chris Dufresne

Makes you wonder if the SEC has spoken with Ou and Ok St. I don't want them, but, curious nevertheless.
