Its pretty incredible.

Also, Dr. D is in the minority. Most sips do NOT want it to end, message board fans be damned.

Honestly it in A&M's best interest since we will now be playing in the toughest conference in all of CFB, but we aren't a bunch of pussies either.

He doesnt want it to end. He trolls trying to put positive spin on anything anti texas

On an lsu sec site nonetheless. The envy is strong

I admit I laughed out loud last night when I heard the PAC 10 rejected the tsippers. The whorns have destroyed 2 conferences. Painted themselves into a corner and no one wants to put up with them anymore. Congrats whorns on being the prettiest girl at the party that no one wants to dance with because you are the biggest bitch in the entire world.

Both sides have had enough of each other. Hopefully this game never happens again in the regular season in my lifetime.

dude, it is my honest and humble opinion that this game will happen no matter what happens. all of this sword rattling is funny as hell. no offense, but your school has really been embarassed on a national scale during the last few weeks and your image has taken a severe enough blow to where you already need a PR infusion to recover. cancelling one of the nations best rivalries will only make it worse and will cause the sore to refester every thanksgiving. i think the nation is on A&M's side; outside of austin, of course. it's like if you slap your wife in public; even if she deserves the hell out of it, you are doomed. best to let bygones be bygones and play the game.

Why would any school want an old rivalry to end? That is what makes the game fun. If you are being serious about not wanting to continue playing your oldest rival, that is really sad, petty and bitter.

it's the only stance they can take since they've been in the cookie jar one too many times.

Except this time they got their hand stuck, and the only way to get it out is to break the jar

so, they take the stance "uh, we meant to do that"

Dr. D; this type of response only reaffirms everything the whole country already thinks about UT. your #1, or #2 (however you want to rank it) yearly opponent just broke up with you and is hooking up with a dominating conference.

You and all the UT fans better pray to God that OU/OSU doesn't leave you hanging, much less leave you for the SEC.

I'm not so sure about that.

I lurk at ShaggyBevo now and then and Dr.D is a poster there. He has said often he doesn't think losing the A&M game is a big deal and has even gone so far as to say that losing both A&M and OU from their schedule is a non issue.

Unless he is trolling every board he goes onto (which would be sad as hell) he actually believes the tripe he types.

The OU game obviously means a lot more but if Texas had gone to the Big 10 or ACC, and had lost the OU game because of it, I would have been fine with that.

Of course not. Texas hates competition and they'll lose both games this year.

I don't get it. Doesn't every school want to play their traditional rivals? I mean, I'm kind of disappointed that we cut Tulane out... and that is a game worth watching once a decade. Why would a fan gleefully avoid tradition? I just can't imagine rejecting the history of the program like that.

It just made no sense for LSU to lose a home game every year.

LSU brought most of the fans every year whether in Tiger Stadium or the Superdome, and Tulane wouldn't consider a 2 games in BR to 1 game in NO scenario to keep the series.

Why lose 3-4 million a year and still bring most of the fans to the Superdome???

"The Longhorns hold a 75-37-5 edge in the series, which has been played every year since 1915."

Anybody else not getting the math here?

I didn't say that it didn't make sense. Hell, have the game at LSU every year if that's what it took. LSU and Ole Miss did that for years.

LSU and Tulane just didn't think the rivalry was valuable enough to lose money on it. I'm thinking Texas and Texas A&M probably feel the same.
