I am not saying by any means I want Texas in the SEC, actually quite the opposite, but they are the reason this whole thing started.

Texas has a lot of money and they aren't afraid to let that be known. However they are so stuck up that they believe they can drag all these other schools around on their coat tails. I for one hate Texas and their fans. They act like the joneses but at the end of the day nobody actually wants them around. I don't blame A&M at all for getting out of that conference and as much as TX says they are happy I don't think it's all roses in Austin. Dodds has been throwing out insults about how A&M would get crushed in the SEC but after TX performance last year i don't see TX being able to do much better.

Now that the realignment Is happening, TX is scrambling to find somewhere to go that will allow them to keep their abortion of a network. However the PAC says they can't come if they keep the LHN and we all know Notre Dame will never join the Big 9. I read on shaggybevo that many longhorn fans think the SEC is going after A&M as bait to eventually get Texas to the SEC. I for one think that is a load of bullshite and want no part of Texas in the SEC. Not because I'm scared of them but because I can't stand their stuck up snobby liberal fan base. Thoughts? Where do you think TX ends up after all said and done?

Texas contract with ESPN makes it highly likely that they will end up an independent.

Texas is either going to be the master of a conference of yes men, as they have been for about 97 years now, or they're going to be an independent.

T-Sips have never believed they should be treated as anything other than royalty, and that they should always be deferred to at all times.

I really do not think Texas wants anything to do with the SEC...nor does OU for that matter. Both these schools have it lined up pretty nice right now, because whoever beats the other is on the inside track to get a BCS bid, maybe the championship game. Both Texas and OU know that their chances are not nearly as good for the BCS if they somehow got in the SEC.

Also, in the SEC I don't think there would be any of the lopsided revenue sharing arrangements like both currently enjoy in the "Big 12?".

The risk they face now is is the their conference is beginning to fall apart, and now they look more like 2 big fish in a smaller pond. Things seem to be drying up in Texas and Oklahoma these days too...certainly with respect to the "Big 12?" at least.

I would like to see this. I would then like to see the Pac 12, Big Ten and ACC go to a superconference and none of them schedule Texas. Relegate them to the status of Boise and BYU.

I share this dream. The best way to deal with an attention wh@re is to ignore them.

I would love for Texas to be blackballed from major college football because of their greed and unwillingness to be an equal partner in a conferece. It won't happen, but an Aggie can fream can't he?

That sure is funny, esp. since A&M has always voted for unequal revenue sharing in the Big 12 Conference (until last summer, when the "have nots" agreed to give A&M a $20 million bribe to stay, which came out of their own revenue).

You people are schizo.

I don't think UTexas would ever want to be in the SEC, or that the SEC would ever want them. They don't want the competition.

Nice. I can't wait until Aggie fans realize that SEC fans hate the entire state of Texas, regardless of college affiliation. Once the aggie youth Nazis march in formation with that little bitch dog nipping at their heels into various SEC stadiums, they'll catch the brunt of hell, and then they'll know.

I don't hate the State of Texas and welcome the Aggies, I enjoyed the series with them when it existed. Your views are absurd.

Texashorn.... Te SEC hates the stuck up attitude of Texans, more specifically the behavior and elitist title associated with the University of Texas, not necessarily the state. The SEC has a huge presence in Houston and Dallas, especially LSU.

The first part of your post about the attitude is probably accurate. Do you not think that Aggies are proud, boastful Texans, too?

But it makes sense that people from SEC states flock to Dallas or Houston. It's like people from Oklahoma living in Dallas... gotta work somewhere.

looks to me like they don't have any other option except to go independent or to stay with the big 9 or big 8, whatever. maybe espn will let them out of the contract, thus allowing them to join the pac 12. that is what i hope happens; their recruits parents may not like having to travel thousands of miles to see their sons play.

As long as this somehow hurts UTexas, I'm all for it.

whereas i personally don't want them in the sec, it has nothing to do with the competition. i mean nothing! i actually would like to play them more in every sport. i don't want them in the sec because they don't fit. they would be "different" in a substantial way and they are used to throwing their weight around and have pretty much effed up two conferences already. hell, the facts are there; they would try to run the SOUTHEASTERN conference and they are not southeasteners nor are they southerners. imo, they should be independent.

Texas will ultimately tuck its tail and go to the big 10.
