Is it just me who is angry at the SEC for letting Missouri into the SEC, Texas a&m brings something but Missouri brings nothing to the table but to weaken our conference. For years the SEC was looked upon as a less appealing conference, now that we have established our true dominance, no spread offense, not trick plays , just big boy football, now every clown is trying to beat down the SEC door. and for more money our governing body will let anyone in. We used say we had strength of schedule that no other conference could compare to but now it's getting out of hand.give me your thoughts.

SEC for letting Missouri into the SEC

:fingerscrossed:

Hopefully this will allow for LSU to replace us in their superbowl.

The SEC wants Mizzou because it lifts the academic standing of the SEC, as they are a member of AAU. That is very important to Slive, etc. In addition, Mizzou does have big support for its athletics. They have a lot of potential like ATM. Don't underestimate the academic side of this. The 2 latest additions to the SEC are members of the AAU.

No way. Slive doesn't care about academics. Maybe some of the presidents that get to vote do, but all Slive cares about is money. And right now, TV Markets bring money b/c thats what Ad Execs like. So we got some crappy teams with huge new TV markets and now Slive is gonna make a ton of money off it all. Thats what he cares about. Academics is just something to tell people when they ask "Why the hell did the SEC get Missouri?"

As for watering down the conference, think of it this way. If everyone expands and the superconferences end up forming, SEC will always be on top. Mizzou is better than some of the other teams that the rest of the conferences will be forced to add. They aren't great, but could be worse.

Yea, but the SEC can take its pick of most schools, why settle?

I know its practically impossible, but I would much prefer to bring in FSU and Clemson put FSU in the West and Clemson in the east. If you cannot bring in those teams, forget expanding. The office in Birmingham is going the money route and I hate to say i think it will come back to bite the SEC somewhat.

Who is looking to move? None of the ACC schools are going anywhere. WVU wants to do something, but I think even the most diehard SEC fans would take Mizzou over them.

I didn't want aTm either, but at least

they're SORT OF like an SEC team/fanbase.

Tex A&M will be a great addition, tradition, fan base, boosters, etc. I welcome them. Missouri is like the fat chick at the bar, waiting on closing time.

Google "media markets"

Dumb post. None of this is about media markets. The SEC gets paid through a deal with ESPN who already has all geographical markets covered.

You are a ruhtard and a dick for making a retarded snide remark.
