Dude. A&M played in the Cotton last year. Do a little research on their program and past history. This isn't some third tier program. Kyle Field is constantly rated as one of the best game day experiences and A&M is a legit top 20 program all time.

That is symptomatic of the problem the teams in the b12-2-1 will have. Have you seen texas home schedule next year?

Sept. 1 WYOMING TBA
Sept. 8 NEW MEXICO TBA
Sept. 29 IOWA STATE TBA
Oct. 20 BAYLOR TBA
Nov. 10 MISSOURI TBA

Thanks! On my phone so nothing I can do right now.

Flame all you want, its a message board.

The reason I am a little pissed about A&M, is the possibility of losing the Bama game every year because a team with a history similar to Ole Miss does not like what its big bro is doing.

If the Bama/Tennessee game stays, I could give 2 shits if we add 20 teams.

So let make a mock schedule for you using SEC team and see which game the state of texas would prefer to see play if we put it in the time time slot as the texas longhorn game.

Sept 1. Alabama - Welcome to the SEC game

Sept 8. Miss State

Sept 29 Auburn

Oct 20 Tenn

Nov 10 LSU

One of the primary reasons I wanted to join the SEC. I just can't handle playing Kansas State, Kansas and Iowa State again (and I would throw Mizzou in there as well but I have a renewed respect based on some of their fans actually voicing an opinion of desiring to come to the SEC). Talk about schools we have nothing in common with.

I'll give you that it will really, really blow if the Bama/Tenn game goes. I did my B.S. at MTSU, but it is no secret that at the end of the day, UT is pretty much Tennessee's college team. That game would even slow Murfreeboro to a crawl while it was on.

I also lived in Austin for five years before coming to UF to do a ph.d. I absolutely loved it there (really all of Central Texas) and will move back. However, after seeing first hand what a bunch of elitist arse clowns Texas is, I can't blame A&M for exiting at all, and I personally think it was a good pick up all around for us.

Cotton Bowl: SEC #4 vs. BigX11 #2

So the 4th ranked team in the sec beat the #2 ranked team in the BigX11 41-24...

the last time gameday went to aTm was in 2006. LINK

Recap: So they played in the cotton bowl as the 2nd best in big X11 and got killed by a sub-par sec team...and college game day isn't that crazy about going down there....don't get wadded up just 'doin my research'

a 10-2 LSU team that lost to the national champs by 7 and a BCS Arky team is sub par?

wow. you really need to get some perspective b/c that is flat out one of the dumbest things I have read on these boards.

Adding a Texas market? Meh, we already have enough money.

We could jeopardize rivalries for the sake of a T.V. market? Really?

Expanding into a new TV market aka bringing in more money is the main, perhaps the only, reason we added TAMU.

Maybe except for this year and for a long time, Baylor sould be added to your list and Tech is not exactly a prominent top team, although rivalries play tight?

The Big Confusion Conference is top heavy like the Pac 12 which didn't add much with Utah and Colorado, other than tv sets. I have to believe OK had a better relationship with OK St than you guys had wtih greedy Bevo U

Yup...and I'm still scratching my head on last season...remember Tennessee? (bad memory still) the Florida bounce? (glad we got it but wow) not exactly what you would call great.

A&M is better than Vandy, UK, Ole Miss, and Miss State for sure, and probably on par with South Carolina, and Arky.

That LSU team was sub par......They were the 4th best team in our conference, you were supposed to be 2nd best, what does that tell you?

10-2 is NOT OK in the S.E.C. that is what you Maggie's fail to realize.

Texas A&M is in the top 25 all time winning %. They are behind 7 SEC teams and no.... USC isnt even close. They are just ahead of Arkansas. Arkansas was a SW team but they transitioned over nicely.

All Time Winning %

P.S. WVU is #14

10-2 isn't ok in the SEC. It's damn good. And LSU is balls when they have more than a week to prepare. Check Les' record at LSU on that. You are spinning like a mothereffer.

Also, the BigXII2 vs SEC4 isn't ranking you dumbass. Its order of pick. Bama lost to LSU but was the SEC3 in CapOne iirc

Oh no doubt the UF bounce pass and the 25 men on the field penalty were brutal. And the UNC game. And McNeese even

But, LSU had as much talent as anybody and played well Jan 7. It's not like A&M lost to Kentucky
