I don't want em, but they're here.

I just thought I'd throw this out there. From Mizzou's perspective, they are giving up some stuff and going through a big change.

The most meetings they have with any current SEC team is 6 games in history - with Ole Miss.

They have only played TAMU 12 times in history, counting this year.

They are giving up all of their rivalries on their way to the SEC. That's a big change to go through.

At least TAMU has history with Arkansas and LSU. In fact, Arkansas and LSU are TAMU's 7th and 8th most played teams respectively.

LSU & TAMU = 50 meetings

ARK & TAMU = 68 meetings

It also is interesting to note that 2 of Mizzou's top 6 historical rivals are already gone, with Nebraska and Colorado moving on.

I don't like Mizzou, but I can try to see it from their fans' perspective. Maybe they will be able to keep Kansas as a rivalry every year.

But everything else they know is all going away. Gotta be strange. I know it was weird for Arkansas 20 years ago, but we already played Ole Miss every year, had some history with LSU, and had played many other SEC teams in Sugar, Cotton and Liberty Bowls over the years.

They are getting into the best conference in the land, but they are also losing some traditions along the way.

There's no one in the Big 12 who wants to be there. "Loyalty" in that conference means you are stuck. Mizzou had a way out and took it. Good for them.

That's right. I take my number from Stassen.com and they have them through 2010. That game was in 2011.

When Ole Miss became a conference game for Arkansas in 1992, we had already played them every year consecutively since 1981.

I'm 34 and I can't remember a time when Ole Miss wasn't a yearly game for Arkansas. We've played every year since I was 4 years old.

Missouri has basically no history at all with the SEC.

Hi. Im a Mizzou fan and Alum and I would like to state that I dont care for Ar-kansas already. ANY school that has kansas in its name is on the hit list from day one. From reading some message boards in SEC land, it appears their fan base is very similar to kansas as well.

ITs one thing to take a piece of humble pie from the like of Bama,Lsu,Auburn,Florida etc.

But form Arkansas? Get lost.

Mizzou is gonna have many pig roasts in the coming years and all our new SEC brothers are invited to the feast.

Oh...ho......

I realize that one win against Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl was apparently the historic high point of Mizzou football, but I'm confident we'll dominate the series. We were coached by a staff that was literally already packed for the move to Oxford.

The difference you will soon understand is even the programs that you assume are below you (like KY and Ole Miss) will beat your arse a lot of the time.

Middle of the Big 12 = bottom feeders in the SEC.

Just having some fun Hogs.

I know we need aTm as a cross division rival for recruiting but I think that things could heat up quickly in a rivalry between Ar-kansas and Mizzou.

:fingerscrossed:

Just recently moved to Springfield myself and I would love nothing more than to talk shite to Tigers on a regular basis during football season.

Either way, it's on during basketball season.

All jokes aside I think it would be good for both schools. Road games both fans could go too, it's a shame they will almost never play.

It is definitely a big change. But it is the best possible move we could have made.

I fully expect we will take quite a few beatings, but in the long haul, we will earn our keep.

We helped build it exactly where it is today without help from your founding Member Ole Mis, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. We've had a seat this table for 20 years.

Oh, not to mention we have more history (games played) with some of the original SEC teams than half the SEC has with each other of all time! Shut up and shite the frick down.

Cause you choke on petrinos dick at the end of the year? I never knew an LSU fan that hated them till they started losing some games to them.

Your fan base is a bunch of babies.

There are a lot of LSU fans who whine about our game lately.
