I really hope they stay where they are. They dont bring anything to the SEC but weaken our schedules.
Stay put, get your own networks over there, let Utah go to the PAC-12, and lets just play some ball!

Texas has done nothing. They've just answered the phone to listen to offers. Nebraska, Missouri, Texas A&M, and Colorado have all done more than Texas. Why is Texas the bad guy?
They got the ball rolling on all of this. When they weren't able to deliver everyone to the Pac 10 like they thought they could, they threatened the Ag's to end their rivalry, when that didn't work, they said, ok.. we'll take Baylor, thinking that would make them change their minds, when that didn't work, it's oh.. we're not leaving.. it's the Ag's fault now that the conference is about to fall apart.
Texas knows their public perception in this is looking pretty bad, and this move is making it even worse, imo.

was going to say the Texas/OU winner would walk into the BCS but the loser probably would as well. so of course Texas would like to stay now.

Thing is.. if the SEC keeps its offer to A&M, (assuming there is one), the Ags would be much better off leaving anyways. Texas just keeps digging itself deeper in a hole and making themselves look dumber and dumber with this.
Agree.

In the past few days Chip Brown has reported A LOT of BS. Seriously-everything he has said has been followed up with something contradicting.

The big question now is if Texas A&M, which, according to Orangebloods.com, has the votes on its nine-member Board of Regents to join the Southeastern Conference

They need to let the Big 12 die.
When CU left, it was on life support.
When Nebraska left, the plug was pulled.
What appeal does the Big 12 have with 2 marquee schools in football?

Exactly. They can put the pressure back on Texas by coming out and sayin..
We will stay in the Big 12, but there will be equal revenue sharing, nobody gets left out. Much like the SEC does. This puts the onus back on Texas and they would have 2 choices.
1. Cave in and look like the Aggies bitch.
2. Not give in and be the reason the Big 12 splits in a public way. lol

wake up. Texas has called the shots in the Big 12 since it's inception. They led the charge with the Pac 10 talks, forcing Nebraska to make a move.
Posted on 6/14/10 at 9:24 am to Alahunter
actually started with Texas to the big 10 didnt it?

Colorado yes. Nebraska no.

I would say that the appeal for Texas is that Nebraska is one less non cupcake team they have to beat. Easier conference now than before. Plus there would be no conference championship game for them to screw up potentially. All they have to do now is beat Oklahoma every year.

wouldn't even have to do that.

And yet A&M--not Texas--holds the cards now. A&M should try to get some concessions from Texas if both schools want to hold the conference together.
