He literally just tosses out every scenario possible to make sure he will be right. Coming next: Dodds in talks with Colts, Titans to replace Texans in AFC South. Hard to believe, but true. May or may not happen.

It is the buckshot approach. Chip will most certainly hit something.

According to Andy Staples' Twitter the ACC Commissioner said "That's news to me!" in RE: to the longhorns possibly going to the ACC. Political speak, or a knock on Chip's credibility as a journalist? Hmmmmm ....

That does sound like a passive-aggressive cover for someone who may not be telling the truth but I still think Chip was fed info for a purpose.

like I've stated before, Chip does not strike me as the type to literally "make shite up out of thin air"

But, if the janitor mopping the floor in the athletic dorms repeats something like "Texas to the ACC" - that's good enough for him to report it as "sources"

Texas to ACC would only happen if would be able to keep there TV network, the ACC my guess would allow them to do this.

The Big 10 or SEC are the best fits IMHO. The Big 10 better start planning, since the super-conference alignment is starting to take shape.

I mean if B1G passed on Mizzou when they took Little Red why send feelers out now?
well, taking Mizzou last year would have meant adding a 14th team...perhaps they didn't have a 14th lined up. Or perhaps the Big Ten didn't want to destroy the Big 12 by taking two of their teams, and are waiting for it to implode on its own before raiding it again.

Chicken, that is a very good point. Well said.

Why couldn't the Big 10 & Texas sit down and has out a deal where Texas gets less of a cut than the other Big 10 teams from the TV revenue distribution based on the average estimated value of a Big 10 team's 3rd tier football rights, and then Texas gets to keep the LHN. Texas & the Big10Network could share non-live content of non-football sports and the LHN would run all kinds of Big 10 ads and flash the Big 10 logo all over the place. The Big 10 network would still get a HUGE boost all throughout Texas.
