Just fyi, if you would like some insight as to how good ags think

they are, take a look at texags. 
Saying they will be at the top of our conference. 
Their arrogance makes me laugh.
But then again, texags is comparable to some of our rantards.

Right because a handful of idiots on texags make of the majority of how most of the fan base feels.

If you took the pulse of the LSU fan base by the tone of tiger droppings and the large majority of the crazy off the wall posts.... you would think LSU was coming off a 2-10 season and Les miles and the entire LSU athletic department was about to fall off the face of the planet.

If they join the SEC, I bet they will be on par or possibly better than OU or UT in 5 years or less. Playing in the SEC is a pretty big carrot to dangle in front of recruits. Might take a little while but joining this conference gets them out of UT's shadow instantly.

The Ags have some talent, but they would have to adapt to SEC play. Arkansas was the Glass Joe of the SEC when we first joined. We got stomped by almost everyone. I think we even lost to Ole Miss and MSU a few times. We had size on the team, but lacked speed and depth. That's what the Aggies will find out will quick, that they need alot more speed and alot more depth to compete in the SEC.

Biggest difference is depth imo. You don't have down weeks in teh SEC like you do in the current big12. You get an injury, you can't wait a couple weeks to recover until you play OU or UT. You better have a replacement to go against Bama, Auby, Arky, LSU, OM, Florida, Georgia, Tenn, right away.

Duckie, why would you come on this board and flat out make up stories about Ags talking about being at the top of the SEC? I've been on TexAgs way too much the last week (Texas Aggie Class of '03 and TexAgs visitor since 2001) and I have not seen what you speak of.
No one has mentioned being at the top in football. Most Ags believe the Ags would be in the top 3 in men's basketball. A minority of Ags don't quite grasp the quality of the baseball. Most Ags think our track and field program is currently the best in the nation (potentialy sweep of men's and women's title today).
