Instead of trying to re-allign the SEC conferences..

why not just do like basketball and scrap conference play all together?

with 14 teams you would need to play 13 games against SEC opponents to play a true round robin
Even if this were possible (and it is neither possible nor desirable) you would still have the potential for multi-way ties for the conference championship

Also the conference wants as many teams as possible in bowl games for more money. With this style more teams with losing records in the sec

It does require divisions for a conference championship game.
This isn't basketball; you can't jumble things up into one pile, without affecting the end of season championship format.
