DeRuyter might make progress, but I believe you'll miss your two playmakers.

i owe mike sherman an apology... i thought he was one of the worst hires ever made -- nfl failure, no personality, rough first season... apparently i was wrong.

No team is elite every year, there are always peaks and valleys, but the aggies should be peaking this year. They are loaded and have no excuses. If they can't make a BCS bowl with this team coming out of a 10 team Big 12 with no title game, they will be heavily demoralized when they join the SEC.

Agreed. But I think we are on equal footing this year. I actually think A&M is slightly better than Arkansass this year. But no games have been played so we get to find out soon! See you October 1st. It'll be a fun one

They have a large h2h advantage but we won more conference titles in the SWC than they did. I'll take the hardware and say we were the better team

As far as this season I'm expecting 10-2 or 11-1 and then a bowl game. Hopefully BCS. And the following year in the SEC I would expect something in the 7-5 or 8-4 area with a young team. Unless DeRuyter leaves for a HC job then I wouldn't be surprised with a losing record adjusting to a new DC

DeRuyter is gone sooner than later. That's common sense. He's a damn good coach that has saved Shermans arse.

I felt like Arkansas is in the same situation as A&M this year but now Ark has Davis for an excuse

Aggies will benefit from being in SEC. The lure of playing in the SEC will help keep a lot of the top prospects at home. They have out recruited Arkansas the last two years having beaten them head up for several Louisiana players. Don't kid yourself, they will compete very well in SEC. With the exception of Florida and Georgia, they have more blue chip talent within one hundred miles of them than any other SEC schools. The addition of Aggies and Noles will hurt Arky and the Mississippi schools the most in my opinion.
