I know, I'm fricking with you, I could care less about endowments as long as my school continues to build new shite and maintain a solid reputation. I don't understand how we're late to the president party though, I thought Clinton went to Yale? Serious question, not flaming.

No problem with the Corps, barely even see them around campus. Just stop making us look bad on TV. Thanks.

I'll tell you what I do like about Kyle Field.

At one point or another you guys added big arse, long ribbon boards. They look good.

Arkansas announced last season that we had added ribbon boards. They are rather underwhelming and pathetic

The new renovations and facilities Coach Sherman and company are planning to build will do wonders for our football program. We need better facilities to compete in the SEC.

Serious question--can I throw in a major freight company as well (JB Hunt)?

He went first to Georgetown, then Rhodes Scholar, then to Yale.

His connection with Arkansas was as a law professor.

JB Hunt is big in the trucking world, but every school has someone big in something.

But not every school has the world's largest poultry producer, overshadowed by 4 of the 10 wealthiest Americans in the Walton's.

I was meaning are they financially supporting Arkansas ala Tyson and Walton family?

Definitely Arkansas is a rising academic power. Moving into the Carnegie's highest classification is an achievement.

For some reason, I have a nervous feeling about getting into all this smack talk before we're even in the conference.

I think poopslapping is allowed only on TexAgs. I have no clue what the punishment is here at TD.

a 5 billion dollar endowment that is shared by every A&M school in the state system.

Didn't we cover this the other day?

The Texas A&M foundation endowments is ~1.18 billion. That goes to Texas A&M University Alone.

The A&M portion of the PUF goes to Texas A&M University, funding Texas A&M System, Tarleton State, Prairie View and various ag functions A&M performs.

The other 9, I think, universities in the system such as A&M San Antonio, West Texas etc. do not share in the PUF.

I have had many classes with Corps guys throughout my previous 3 years at A&M. All of them are hardworking (they have to be with the crap they go through), honest college students. They are good people that get a lot of crap for no reason. The actions of a few should not be representative of the whole. I have yet to have met a corps guy (freshman-senior) that has heard of jizz jar or squeeze, and most hate corps block in Kyle.

Egg this should help...

It was Judgment Day in Aggieland
And tenseness filled the air;
All knew there was a trip at hand,
But not a soul knew where.

Assembled on the drill field
Was the world-renowned Twelfth Man,
The entire fighting Aggie team
And the famous Aggie Band.

And out in front with Royal Guard
The reviewing party stood;
St. Peter and his angel staff
Were choosing bad from good.

First he surveyed the Aggie team
And in terms of an angel swore,
"By Jove, I do believe I've seen
This gallant group before.

I've seen them play since way back when,
And they've always had the grit;
I've seen 'em lose and I've seen 'em win
But I've never seen 'em quit.

No need for us to tarry here
Deciding upon their fates;
Tis plain as the halo on my head
That they've opened Heaven's gates."

And when the Twelfth Man heard this,
They let out a mighty yell
That echoed clear to Heaven
And shook the gates of Hell.

"And what group is this upon the side,"
St. Peter asked his aide,
"That swelled as if to burst with pride
When we our judgment made?"

"Why, sir, that's the Cadet Corps
That's known both far and wide
For backing up their fighting team
Whether they won lost or tied."

"Well, then," said St. Peter,
"It's very plain to me
That within the realms of Heaven
They should spend eternity.

And have the Texas Aggie Band
At once commence to play
For their fates too we must decide
Upon this crucial day."

And the drum major so hearing
Slowly raised his hand
And said, "Boys, let's play The Spirit
For the last time in Aggieland."

And the band poured forth the anthem,
In notes both bright and clear
And ten thousand Aggie voices
Sang the song they hold so dear.

And when the band had finished,
St. Peter wiped his eyes
And said, "It's not so hard to see
They're meant for Paradise."

And the colonel of the Cadet Corps said
As he stiffly took his stand,
"It's just another Corps Trip, boys,
We'll march in behind the band."

That is etched in stone in front of the bonfire memorial. Reading it there next to the memorial always gave me chills.
