Errbody in Branson is from Arkansas anyway.

Where is Branson and why would I go there?

Not much difference between there and the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area. Wal-Mart was born in that area. I know it's headquartered in Arkansas, but that area of the country is very similar. shite some of the Walton children live in Columbia and Missouri and Oklahoma were the first two states outside of Arkansas that Wal-Mart expanded to.

If it ain't the Gulf Coast, Breckenridge or Vegas I see no reason to go there.
FTW I am not a big fan of Christmas or family values.

I've got family up on Table Rock Lake, we'll be up there after Thanksgiving for a wedding.
It aint southern. Branson and Southwest Missouri are rather hillbilly trashy (course most of Arkansas is too)

Exactly. If Arkansas is in, Missouri is fine.
Neither are 'southern'.

MU has tons of Wal Mart money. The guy that owns the Nuggets/Rams is an MU guy.

I don't equate being a boring, shitty town with being Southern. I guess that sounds like Starkville, but I still don't think it is Southern.
Posted on 10/6/11 at 2:08 pm to 12
If this doesn't scream Deep South I don't know what does
Posted on 10/6/11 at 2:18 pm to Latarian
What the frick does southern even mean any more, people are people. I grew up in north east Mississippi, it didn't feel different than northwest Arkansas, it may look different. And please don't don't tell me Florida has a southern feel. The same freaks in huntsville alabama look just like the ones in springfield missouri.
If that is the reason no one wants missouri then you're just dumb. People want OU, does Norman feel like the south?
