"The SEC is on the docket for tomorrow. Strongly opposed by some members in the admin. However, there is a faction that will get this done. Most of the academics are opposed due to the fact of the financial support the football program will need to remain competitive in the SEC. The new revenues will need to be dumped directly back into the football program, and the academics already dont like how much we are spending in this arena or how much GP is making. Football staff is firmly on board and leading charge. Alden is on board. Deaton sides with the academic faction. Per my source, there is enough leverage in the pro SEC faction to make the move. Deaton was working feverishly to get concessions that would appease the pro SEC faction. Not attainable. Texas wont budge. No fear of litigation, and "buyout" fees are already lined up per boosters.

All signs point SEC unless Deaton can pull a rabbit out of his hat, and at this point looks highly unlikely. Intention will be clear after BOC meeting."

This is from a very reputable poster who has connections within the MU Admins.

Sounds like we're getting the ball rolling tomorrow.

SEC bound.

Cheers dude. I hope that by the end of the week I'll be calling Mizzou our SEC brothers.

Our first trip to Memorial and I'll be tailgating at the corner of Stadium and Maryland. Stop by and I'll feed you. Bring your own beer.

i think its funny how people take basically the same information and view it 2 very different ways. earlier today a WVU fan said mizzou was out of it based on recent media leaks.
now a mizzou fan thinks it means they are sec bound

itll be an interesting few weeks/months

heck ya it is a great fit more so than the Alabama teams. They should be moved to the EAST were they belong.

You're a dumbass, hawgalude.

If you move both Alabama teams then you have 8 in the east and 6 in the West.

Move Tennessee and Kentucky to the West and the Alabama schools to the East.

Moving 2 teams and moving 2 teams back makes no sense. It would just be doing the same thing. I could see why a Rkansas fan wanting to move 2 schools that beat them regular to the other side so it would help their record.

Nope. Just one. One belongs and has always belonged. Hopefully, coming home.

The replies at the bottom are priceless.

Here is one gem: "it is death to our FB program. We will be swallowed up by bama, Auburn, FL, Tenn, etc."

I'm a little dissapointed that LSU wasn't mentioned...

ETA - That board is harder to read than Chinese!

Tomorrow you will see Deaton at a press conference with the Big 12 helmet on his desk. He would then proceed to pick it up look at it and then toss it aside voicing his concern that there was not enough swagger with that helmet. He will then turn to one of his aid who would give him a SEC helmet then put it on to the standing ovation of his peers.

At least..that what I think we will see tomorrow afternoon.

Or just pull out a Dalmatian that, in lieu of spots, has little SEC logos a la Crowell.
