Why is this so hard for people to understand? You take the entire state of Florida market and leave a weak Miami footprint for the ACC.

Tough shite for the ACC, Big East, and everyone else. Sure they will pick up USF, UCF just so they can say they have the tv markets, but everyone knows no one is watching those teams nationwide. Taking FSU means we now own the state of Florida outright.

I am not sure adding FSU means much TV wise, UF delivers every Florida market as it is.

This is incorrect, but whatever. If FSU joins, they join. It won't hurt my feelings at all.

With the profit sharing in the 20 mil range.. whoever is added will need to bring $$$$$$ to to table as part of their lure, along with academics probably too.

Little school with a big North East market. They have more fans in New Jersey, New York, Boston, etc, then any school out there.

A&M is in, but I'm starting to think the SEC is mulling over another 4-6 teams trying to decide which one they want. I highly doubt we add 4, but I do think 2 is happening.

FSU is the most "SEC-like" team out of all the teams being considered for expansion IMO. It would be a good move.

Disagree. Va. Tech is the most SEC like IMO.

I'm betting that as soon as the conference expands and is re-divisioned, it will be time for the SEC to end their current contracts with CBS and ESPN (if I'm not mistaken, they do have an "out" to do this in case of expansion) and the subsequent renegotiation will be adding a LOT more money to the SEC.

Culture wise, you're both wrong. It's Clemson.

Competitive wise, you're on the mark.

Yeah Va. Tech would be another good move as well. If Slive is looking at geography though then FSU is the obvious choice.

They don't have an out. They do however, have rights to renegotiate amounts should the SEC add schools.

Sure we get that with any team, why add FSU when you can expand the TV base into Virginia, etc?

Clemson basically is an SEC team. But VA Tech is a better fit here. Hell, FSU can't even fill up doak

As a UT fan I would love to see Tech. They are a natural rival for us. They don't fit in the ACC. They are a barn school beating up on the rich kids. But what amazes me is none of their fans want to see them in the SEC.... I guess a Hokie and a chicken aren't to far apart....

End and renegotiate are two totally different things. Time frames etc will be the same, just the $ will be affected.

The big problem getting Va. Tech into the SEC is UVA. We don't get Va. Tech without them.
