You guys would have hated traditional college football pep stuff a few decades ago. What the Aggies do now, is what most schools did years ago, they just have kept much of their tradition alive.

That, or they are stuck in a time warp.
I vote for the latter. That said, I didn't see anything there that would change my mind about wanting the Tackleboxers in the SEC.

I think they are a good fit. Love their band and I remember watching them come to tiger stadium every year back in the 60's and 70's. Great tradition

Arkansas and South Carolina were delution #1 and #2. aggy will be delution #3.
I'm only concerned about LSU Texas recruiting. Otherwise I have no problem. It beats playing directionals.

It's worth more than the state of Louisiana, my simple Aggie brain knows that much.

No, I don't want them in the SEC but I guess they will be a good addition.
Those of you in the SEC that have never been around the cultists are going to be in for a shock. Yeah, I know we like to give each other crap in the SEC, but the Aggies kind of take it to a ridiculous level.
For instance I have a friend who is an engineer with Texas Department of Transportation. As such, he sees lots of Aggies. Well, they got a new guy in who is an Aggie. This Aggie actually told my friend (and yes, the Aggie was serious) that my friend's engineering degree was not a "real" degree because he didn't go to A&M.
Yeah, I know on the surface that sounds like the standard ribbing that goes on between schools. But my friend soon realized that the guy was actually serious. There are lots of semi-retarded Aggies who actually believe that kind of crap.
Of course, my friend shut him up pretty quickly when he reminded him about how good all those Aggies with "real" engineering degrees were at building bonfires.

Then your friend is a douche. I don't mind schools giving each other plenty of hell, but I draw the line at belittling tragedies, and so should anyone with a lick of decency.

Oh please, Aggie. I heard some real Aggie idiots after all that crap. I actually heard several Aggie idiots say, "Well, at least they died doing something worthwhile." Hah, that was the dumbest shiite I've ever heard.
No, they were not doing something worthwhile. They were a bunch of drunk college kids building a ridiculously unstable structure with LOGS. Having come from a long family line of loggers, I can tell you there is nothing more dangerous than logs. NOTHING.
The entire leadership of that school should have been taken out back and summarily shot for even tacitly condoning such a patently dangerous activity. But that is just the sort of Aggie idiocy I see every day.

"i just cannot get used to an all male cheerleading squad. sorry. i like me some women."
You need to start up a petition drive to A&M to get that changed. I'd be more than happy to sign since I have suggested on texags that if we can change from all male and go to the SEC in my lifetime, we can certainly get some female cheerleaders.

It was worth something to them.

I must have missed the reports that they were drunk. I tend to avoid talking bad about the dead. I can confirm that alcohol was not allowed at stack when I was there from 94-96 and that anyone even looking the least bit drunk was required to leave.

It had issues. It really should have had a professional engineer more involved. I was there when stack fell in 1994 and we rebuilt it in a week.
Bonfire is still build off campus using a different method where logs are cut to different lengths and all touch the ground.

i understand that feeling but really, isn't that just as close minded as the texas people you hate? do not let the big mouth ego maniacs that have been brain washed spoil your day.

Some dumb asses. They should fit right in with the Arkansas fans.

Hawgon, 12 young men and women lost their lives. 12 families that were forever changed that day.
Keep that in mind when you are trying to get the last laugh on an Internet message board.
