"The number of tickets purchased thus far by the visiting schools:
SMU 1,988
Idaho 264
Oklahoma St. 1,428
Baylor 830
Missouri 1,600
Kansas 1,750
Texas 3,850"
No wonder A&M wants to leave the conference so bad - that's pathetic. And to think that SMU placed a full page ad in the Dallas Morning News about them into a BCS conference - they can't even sell 2,000 tickets to a game and Baylor blocking a move by A&M - they can't sell 1,000. Those schools should drop football - doesn't seem like anyone cares.

Yup. SMU would make a nice addition to the "Big" 12(-3).

The Waco suburbs are known for flat , treeless plains, sparcely populated, with abundant privacy. Real estate is affordable. Hence , it has historically been popular for the construction of religious extremist compounds. These individuals often live amongst livestock, grow wheat, fruits, vegetables and cotton, and tap water wells. Thus these communities are self sustaining, including reproduction within a small, confined genetic pool. Education of children within these compounds is the sole responsibility of adult women within the group. It should be noted that the ratio of females to males in these groups is frequently greater than 10 to 1.

Actually they outsold everyone but Texas (who everyone expected would sell out their allotment).
The low Idaho number is one thing -- they are on the other side of the country -- and some of the other schools are also distant, but Baylor's number is just pathetic. Given their sales should they bypass the Southland Conference and go straight to the Lone Star Conference?

Let's be real...does Baylor really deserve a 2 page post? For that, I quit this thread immediately!
