Interesting, thanks for the link

It sounds like a Larry Scott compromise. He put into place very similar stipulations for USC and UCLA when the Pac-12 was going to equal revenue sharing

Tejas high school football recruits and maybe hoopsters too? Are gonna choose SEC Football over Pac Football..and the Hoopsters may well choose Eastern and Central time zone tv exposure over Pac too?

This is better for the SEC than is UT to ACC.

Good News!

The weakest pod would easily be Utah, Colorado, and the Arizona schools. Bad HS football in those states.

If the pod model is the new trend, what would LSU's SEC pod look like in a 16-team expansion? Us, ark, tamu, and ? Mizzou if they join? Doubt theyd split the miss schools up.

POD model makes no sense. Are they going to have a conference semi-final game?

I don't see the NCAA going for that.

The 3-2-2-2 would work because it gives 2 games against CA teams for all the traditonal non-CA PAC schools, who depend heavily on CA recruiting.

Geaux2002, they would just have the 2 best conf records play in the title which i think is against current Ncaa rules. But rules can be changed. Or the Pac16 can just throw the NW and CA pods into the Pacific divsion and throw the other 2 pods into a West division.

Why wouldn't you just do 7 division games and 2 non-division games. Yeah, you'd lose some games in California, but you'd also be getting into Texas twice a year.

You are truly an imbecile if you think any OU or Texas game will start later than 7pm central

Well there's irony considering he was talking about games played on the west coast, not at UT or OU.

Texas fans are going to experience a little shock at the PAC/West coast football culture.

I'm more concerned about a super-STD being created when Texas Tech visits ASU
