Bottom line: either Mizzou or WV

The universities holding out on voting on Mizzou don't have a whole lot of choices, contrary to many of the opinions I've read on here.
Here are the facts:
1. There's only a few teams in the ACC that fit the SEC profile and it's highly unlikely any of them would jump over. Buy outs, association with other state schools, infringement on areas already in the SEC all serve as obstacles when targeting the ACC. Lastly, the ACC is as sable as the SEC.
2. The 14th team will come from either the Big East or the Big XII...period. There are no other teams in any other conference and there are no independents that the SEC would even give a second look to; that leaves us with Mizzou or WV.
I'm in favor of either one coming in; they both have a lot to offer. For those saying "Just stay with 13 teams", that's not going to happen for long.
While I'm at it, I think it's a damn shame that Vandy raises their nose and abstains from voting; those jackasses have been reaping the fruits of the labor from other schools in the SEC which have been spending 100s of million of dollars upgrading facilities and spending 10s of millions of dollars getting the best football coaches in the country...that's why the SEC is now holding the keys to the Brinks truck we affectionately call college football TV revenue.
Hey Vandy, BB doesn't pay the bills!!!!!!!!

It won't be either of those schools, IMO. The SEC is almost in a position to pick who they want as long as the member institutions all agree.
I once thought it wasn't possible but am hearing now that the SEC will make a run for UNC-CH

There's a pretty good chance we take both of them eventually. We'll have to move to 16.
Hell, with how drawn-out this process is becoming, I wouldn't doubt if we come up with a 16th and admit all 3 simultaneously.

I like that.
It certainly makes sense.

not enough people realize how bad scheduling will be in a 14 team conference
I'm sure the ACC realizes it despite sitting at 14 for now.. they're just biding their time until ND realizes that they're going to have to lose their independence

fsu, clemson, vt, someone else? I'd bet on FSU but we'll see.

My guess would be FSU also. You can count VT out. There is no way they leave their marriage with UVA. They share campus facilities and $$$ as well.

I'm aware VT is unlikely, I just added them in there because they're a good candidate
but who knows, maybe Slive will pull someone random. At this point the program really doesn't matter, as long it has a decent, established market and gets us to 16.

Once again...the SEC WILL NOT wait 27 months on ANY team!

I will bet whichever team is left in the big least, will go Baylor on every team in the conference, and the conference itself.
One team will leave the ACC, before the big least goes away.

from what I've heard on all the reports on TV ... they are saying FSU isn't an option because the university of florida won't allow it ... they want to be the only florida school in the SEC ... i dont know the logistics behind all of that though

that didn't stop them from receiving an invite last time the SEC expanded

And they refused.... Chose the ACC.
I'd love to see FSU in the SEC, but......
FSU wants no part of an SEC schedule!
[/endSECsuperhonkrant]
If any ACC teams are real possibility, then yes, I would want FSU..... Then Miami.... GA Tech would be footballface.

The SEC didn't take kindly to FSU turning down the offer. GT left the conference oh so long ago, and I'm sure the various board members across the conference haven't forgotten that either. Nobody holds grudges like politicians and bureaucrats.
