Good, that's all the sooner that they can be disproven as a major program.

When Missou and Kansas join the MWC you'll have a great conference for football, basketball and baseball.

(and the other Kansas if Utah goes Pac-million, too)

What will that say about LSU if TCU beats them in 2012?

The MWC will take Big 12 leftovers also? Kansas, Iowa St, etc?

I didn't even think about that... That is a pretty stout setup.

I wish them nothing but failure and unhappiness.

I don't know if I'd call it a great conference in those 3. Sure, it'll have some really good teams at the top, but the depth won't be there

Boise has good potential and has proven they can play against larger, more established programs. They ARE a major program right now, just not a BCS. I would definitely say BSU is a legit top 25 program.

They want a maximum of 12 teams - that's 3 slots.

With Boise in - That leave Kansas, Kansas State and Missou to fill 2 slots.

ETA:

A lot of this hinges on TAMU and the Pac...

What they decide could possibly influence Utah's position.

First, troubl, let me just say I love your work. Lol. I honestly do.

2012 is a bit too far to look ahead to right now, but I don't see that being a problem to begin with. They are a decent team, as is Boise, but I consider neither of them MAJOR programs.

I am a firm believer that week-in, week-out competition plays a huge role in how good or bad a team is. Neither of them have notable schedules, although I will give Boise credit in their offer and advocacy to take on any team, anywhere. Just don't think they could withstand the schedules of a former Big XII or SEC setup.

I gotcha.
I accept your slap on Boise. I incorrectly interpreted it as a slap on the MWC (I think).

ETA:

MWC will get a championship game and AQ status... They won't be able to put TCU and Boise against eachother in BCS games any more. MWC teams will either prove themselves or they won't.

TCU
Boise
Utah
BYU

Air Force
Missou
Kansas
and (call me crazy) Wyoming

Those teams alone are solid tiers in football.

All potential top 30 programs, but what BCS conference doesn't have 4 teams with a shot at being in the top 30?

Kansas and Mizzou are generally after-rans in the Big12, and will now be some of the best teams in the MWC. These are all solid 40th-70th teams, but again, not a lot of depth. Then the bottom of the MWC will be horrible

Sure, they'll end up getting a BCS bid, but that's mostly because the Big12 will dissolve
