Boren (OU prez) should have called for Dodds resignation...on issues of trustworthiness and manipulation/cospiracy vs. members

From the link:

quote:

The Big 12 is the type of family where the reunions end with someone waving a knife and screaming "I'll cut all of you!" as the police pull into the driveway. In the SEC, they spend their family reunions in Destin, Fla., counting money by the Gulf of Mexico and then watching their wives spend the windfall at the outlet mall across the street from the hotel.

All of the Big XII-2-1 should 1) vote Texas out of the conference or 2) withdraw, leaving Texas as the lone Big XII member. Then the schools can draw up a new conference how they want and add the teams they need to be sucessful. Texas A&M can either join the new conference or continue to join the SEC.

Think about that...

Drop Texas and the only TV presence for the Big 12 in Texas is TT and Baylor... There goes 1/2 their TV deal..

To go a step further with UT's games all on ESPN or the LHN, it would effective give the entire state of Texas to the SEC in regards to broadcast rights... They may be acting like hysterical women, but somebody would step in and show them the #'s...

It would relegate the 'new' Whornless league to a C-USA, WAC status, but they would be rid of Texas and they would have their equal revenue-sharing.

Man, what a cluster of a conference. Nebraska, Colorado and A&M looking wiser by the day.

Nothing Texas has done has surprised me. I knew who they were before this started. However, I have lost a lot of respect for OU.

I think that all either of them want is an AQ conference with the two of them and any combination of eight other schools.

Texas and keep pushing the LHN and OU can keep losing BCS bowls and taking home the big $$$ for doing so.

good article...one has to wonder if it makes sense for a school like Mizzou to get handcuffed like that. You can just sense that they don't want a part of that conference any more...

There is no reason to think things change much

This would be too reasonable and logical. And I'll bet the Stockholm Syndrome would kick in and some of the ones oppressed by the Longhorns would side with them anyway, and call them their benefactors. It's a dysfunctional mess and the sooner we get out of that tangle, and the farther we distance ourselves from any of their other members (besides aTm), the better off the SEC and LSU will be. We don't need any more former Big XII team viruses in the SEC.

None. And right about Missou. They could potentially attract better athletes who would prefer playing SEC. But guess they are Malcolm in the middle. Texas will continue to nest it's big egg and Sooners will be next, perhaps looking out for their little cowboy brothers.

The Pac 9 +USC, now Pac 11 +USC, with several second liners somewhat reminds me of the Big Confusion + TX & OK

Although bama used to dominate, SEC has shared championships amongst 6 teams in a last 12 years, almost evenly.

Oregon played for the National Championship last year, and Stanford is ranked where the finished last year in the Top 5.

True but Oregan is a newcomer and Stanford is up and down. USC has won 6 of the last 10 PAC 10 titles /Rose reps. Pretty lopsided as of late although P Carrol is now gone.
