Baylor is PITCHING A FIT

Baylor is not really trying to keep it a secret that they do not want A&M to go to the SEC but they are not telling the full truth as to WHY. Now this is JUST A RUMOR, but my pastor is an alum of Baylor and a big booster. At lunch today he told me about a conference call that he was on in which Baylor Boosters are adamant about doing everything that they can to get Baylor into the SEC as well. Based on REV's report, the ALUM's feel that Baylor, being a Southern Baptist school, has the type of "culture" that would fit much better into the SEC than any other conference that may be left to pick up the pieces after A&M and OU, TxTech, and OKEYSTATE depart. From what he said Baylor would like to see the SEC include them. I asked REV what he thought the SEC could look like with Baylor and A&M and his response was a little intriguing. SEC WEST, LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Baylor, Miss. State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn. SEC EAST Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Clemson, Florida State.
I do not see Florida voting to allow FSU and I for sure do not see Carolina allowing Clemson. Any thoughts?

There's a board for this.
It's not this one.

Wrong board, and not happening. I'm sure UTEP would love to be a part of the SEC as well, but it ain't happening.

The reverend is a big booster? Hmm.

Sounds like your pastor is taking a little off the top.
Additionally, wrong board.
pps: As a southern baptist, I can say there probably isn't another christian denomination that fits less with SEC culture.

Yeah I don't think so.

never before the tantrum
never after the tantrum
they could have helped themselves, but decided to play the part of whinny bitch screaming from the front porch.

The SEC would never, EVER, let Baylor in
Posted on 9/7/11 at 1:19 pm to GregMaddux
The SEC will not take a school in an already existing market (Clemson, FSU, Miami, etc)
